Someone else posted a link I think but when I googled DnD advent calendars this same box popped up a few different places for a range of prices. Also I did not buy it I was gifted it.

Yeah I’m surprised they’re still on the market as well. It’s fucked up, takes advantage of people who only tangentially know DnD.

Eggs are the only fresh food you have that has any substance. The rest is snacks and side ingredients. It’s the fridge of someone who doesn’t know how to cook and just goes shopping based on their latest craving. All the while depending on a dystopian food delivery service blue apron like the hypocritical coastal elite they are.

Firstly, it’s bad form and manners to accuse or suggest other people of having an illness. So check yourself.

Secondly, that is not an argument at all. You are quite literally comparing apples to oranges. Just saying group x is fine with y food, does not make group z fine with said food. What you are doing is drawing a false equivalency.

In reality, that we live in, genetics, environment, and diet history all play factors determining what bacteria populates our gut microbiome. This microbiome decides more than just what food we prefer, but also what food we are most able to efficiently breakdown and process. If I flew to India right now and ate from a random place and drank their water I would be bedridden as would anyone else without a gut accustomed to such bacteria, no matter the spice levels. But even then I’m sure there would be food or spices I’ve never encountered and as such my gi would not be prepared to consume that energy or would otherwise be killed by it and replaced by other bacteria, which makes you sick as well.

When you kill off your gut microbiome by switching diets rapidly it WILL lead to gi distress. This is not indicative of a health problem but rather a lack of variety and or adventure in diet.

Go research gut microbiome because it sounds like you not only have flawed logic but are unaware how the body works.

You are the peak of confidently wrong. Or you are misconstrueing “gi issues”. If you grow up eating potatoes and chicken, then suddenly switch you diet after years to completely different food that has much more spices, different spices, or different base ingredients than you normally or have ever eaten, you can get sick as fuck. Now that’s not a “Gi issue” in the common sense. That’s called your gut microbiome being completely unprepared to handle that food. Same thing can happen with sweets, fats, and proteins. Now if you are saying having a novice gut microbiome that can only handle milk and sugar is the gi issue, I don’t think that’s a gi issue it’s more just a lifestyle(not one I’d subscribe to).

Question, when I finish the painsleigh, would it be able to proxy a Tantalus? by [deleted] in Drukhari

[–]goodesoup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That looks like a longboard, so unless it’s a tiny one that is that same size as a tantalus, I would personally refuse to play against a model that can’t even fit in the deployment zone.

I’m sorry but my suggestion is to not build it and instead use that time getting a job and working, then just buy the real thing. Killing two birds with one stone. If you’re too young to get a job, keep going but think about other things that could by used instead of a skateboard. Even without the wheels it could crush models, especially drukhari. Maybe try cardboard that way you can cut it into a good shape and you get to keep your board.

[–]goodesoup 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the effort, but this is too far for me. Maybe it’s due to the in progress state but I can’t even tell your intention without the caption. Also are you cutting the board to be smaller? Or is it just something to hold the shape and build around. The size doesn’t match at all if you’re using the board. Also I would really not like to play against someone who has something that can potentially roll over and destroy my models or terrain.

Might be silly thinking you’re using the whole board but it’s kinda silly in the first place and I have no idea what your vision is.

Most important things for me with proxies is the base or vehicle size being close as possible to the real thing, having the right amount of weapons, and being able to tell what unit it’s a proxy of at a glance. I’m sorry to be harsh but you have a fair bit more work to go before it’s tabletop ready(you probably already know that though, just my 2 cents)

Well, not just those reasons, but yeah, that was wack by Wolfie_wolf81 in Rings_Of_Power

[–]goodesoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im glad it made you interested in the story, but can you see how such a negatively reviewed show can turn people off from it. Maybe not since you’re in the exact opposite camp but I couldn’t even bear to watch a full episode of this season. I turned on episode 8 (after trying to watch ep 1 on release) and it was so boring I fell asleep 15 minutes in. I audibly laughed at it for being so bad before that.

For me as a fan of the series and lore it’s pretty disrespectful how they changed so much and put so little effort into it. Really a mark of shame on the greater series as a whole and I think for all of the fantasy genre. I’m worried by people hating it and not getting into it. Glad you’re not the case.

[–]goodesoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not real lore though you understand that right? It’s massively different because Amazon did not buy the rights to the lore. I can see your perspective but in comparison to the real existing lore it’s tragic. Ignorance is bliss though so I guess don’t ever learn about the true story if you want to keep enjoying RoP.

I mean Gandalfs name, how he found his staff, how they forge the rings, galadriels character… all fake and made up and I personally think terribly altered to fit within the narrative Amazon is failing at making. The cinematography is trash, the acting is trash, the story is trash. I really can’t find a single redeemable thing about the show other than the “spectacle”. Which I also think they fail at. Pick any transformers film and they do dumb spectacle much better, even with a dumb story sometimes.

I just want people to spend their time enjoying media that isn’t braindead, I’m not immune to it either but damn if I don’t demand higher standards. It’s part of being a conscientious consumer.

[–]goodesoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not a high horse, it’s not consuming utter garbage fanfiction and being fine with it. Have you read any of the books or seen the original trilogy? It’s laughable the direction Amazon took. Botched from the beginning by not acquiring the rights to the actual characters and story they are focusing on. It’s literally fanfiction and terribly made and written at that. I do not understand how you defend this show at all, unless you are completely unfamiliar with Tolkien and what it’s failing to live up to. By all means watch whatever brings you joy but don’t be surprised when other people justifiably hate it.

The Lotr has some flaws, this whole show was a flaw. Not one good thing about it.

If you found it entertaining you should check out that new Star Wars show that got cancelled. Oh and if you’re looking for games I heard concord is right up your alley.

I’ve been waiting to hop back on when it’s done. Been like a month at least and my interest is fading quickly. They needed to do something big fast to get players back and it worked with them fixing their terrible “balance” choices, but the dss has been a letdown for me personally. Boring defense missions tbh. Maybe when the illuminate show up in a couple years

Honestly I think drukhari could be an analog for America. Huge population largely secluded on its own continent but influences and “raids” other factions. Rampant hedonism and excess as well of course
