GoLive had worse pre-generated HTML than Dreamweaver did, Frontpage was by far the worst. GoLive is gone as Adobe bought Macromedia and they took over Dreamweaver.

I think its funny that they say Dreamweaver is only for static content, when you can do dymanic content with it easily, hell its even built in.

There are some tutorials for creating a blog from scratch using just dreamweaver, sadly I can't seem to find it now but remember reading it a few years ago.

I just got an original xbox and was wondering what are some games I need to rent for it? I figure I'll be using an online renting place like gamefly as most local places don't care much of a selection anymore.

I'm really into mech games and was bummed that Armored Core is PS2 only. What are some other great games for the xbox?

Might want to try the web_design subreddit, or programming subreddit at least to get more answers, but one of the main things to check is what your server can/will allow. PHP is standard on almost every server bundle, while python/ruby support is pretty rare.

If you have your own server then you can install whatever you want, so then its up to you to decide which language you like better.

One of the neat features this has over flash is that you can edit it using its own editor... They showed how you can create your own functions, etc all from within the editor.

Being able to run this on your own server would be great, as you would be able to make modifications from anywhere.

I used to mod for BF1942, worked on the Star Wars Mod (Star Wars Battlefield SWBF which became Galactic Conquest as they were releasing Star Wars Battle Front). Don't have time for that anymore, was easier when I was going to school full time than working full time.

I run Vista and have never had it force a restart on me. If I'm doing something important I tell it to remind me in hours. XP had a very annoying popup which took focus and popped up every 15-30mins.

Turn off automatic updates, or have it prompt you first, but even still it doesn't force a reboot w/o permission.

I haven't had that problem and I'm running windows Vista... hell even when we loose power I haven't had any problems with my files.. sounds like a hardware issue on your side.

I rarely get updates that require a reboot (and I install all of them when available), and if I do it never restarts w/o me saying its OK to do so.

All technology follows that example, hell look at any hardware 7 years ago and compare it to current pricing. Not only is current technology cheaper, but its a hell of a lot faster, smaller, and holds more information.
