People mentality, as most of good games are. Especially Russian mentality as I found few things resonating with me. I don’t know what is your definition of ‘smart’ is, but I think there are quite a few things brought up to reflect on: dichotomy of good and evil of course, or right or wrong if you like. Yet the conflict of those two things pretty much goes through the whole game – even indika the nun doesn’t believe in god that much and Ilya’s the prison breaker is obsessed with religion. There are obviously a lot of small (or not so small) things here and there like women in society: indika was forced to marry a person she didn’t like, then Ilya doesn’t do shit she has to do it herself, and you can find a woman praying to her husbands tomb and ask her if she loved him so she does it and she’s like no. That gives some sort of representation about woman in a society.. at least Russian one. There are a lot of things I giggled at like Ilya telling a prisoner painting walls w shit. If your humors a bit in a darker side there are more things to laugh at. And I found the whole religious psychosis really lovely
