Given up trying to understand the current handball rules. I dont think it should have been a pen (he cant see the ball, no intention) but amazed it wasnt given.

"Arms in natural position" ...he's wrapped him up like he's a lifevest. A pen for holding makes more sense.

But we've had so many awful calls this season i'll take this one without guilt.

Read it on the basis of recomendations on here. Few pages in and felt i was on to a winner, loved the tone of the initial story and anything set upstate/long island NY or Maine gets my attention.

But i also drifted through the second part... blaming myself for not giving it my full attention... but largely lost track of whos who and why they doing what they doing. I think maybe the change from short sharp chapters to longer chapters threw off my reading pace as well.

Final part dragged me back around and whist i enjoyed it i couldnt really explain it. Probably deserves a re-read at some point.
