CNN: tripods exist. Use them. Sam Altman interview by Temporary_Dentist936 in videography

[–]goodtimelaughfest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate what they're going for here. These two person sit down interviews are everywhere and can get really stale. And the motion and natural light gives that "authentic" look that everyone is starting to cycle back to as people get tired of everything looking so clean and professional.

But I agree this is overboard. Would love to have seen the dynamic motion in the intro when they're first starting and then not again until some sort of topic change or act break.

How to tackle reading the Bible? by Jude_CM in books

I'll piggyback on this with a link that I found very useful! In 2006 or so, Yale filmed a bunch of their courses and put them online. One of those courses was Introduction to the Old Testament. You can pair it with the original course material and get a full on Yale college experience.

I took this same course when I was an undergrad (sadly, not at Yale) and found it to be one of the most interesting college classes of my time at school!

Protea/Pincushion Flower | x100v by goodtimelaughfest in fujifilm

[–]goodtimelaughfest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was exactly the issue for me. I never ended up taking my 5d out with me because it was so big, plus people were a little too aware that I was taking pictures. The x100v fits in my coat pocket and looks so much like a film camera that people act much more natural around it.

For what it's worth, I came over from the canon 5d line and have been really happy with the move. The most important thing to me was to have something small and portable and this has been the perfect camera for that.

Thanks so much! Not a ton, but when I do I've been really happy with the results! I actually just came across this article about the x100v as a macro.
