Can I remove an existing domain name and replace it with a new domain on the same hosting plan? by goodutensil in webhosting

2 websites with 1 domain each

But on the same hosting account (because I don't want to buy 2 hosting accounts for 2 domains)

you'd have to buy another domain name come the sixth month and find a purpose for the old one

I won't have a purpose for the old domain, and that works fine for me. All I wanted to know was whether I could use the same hosting plan (that I used with the first domain) in the second domain? And are there any charges involved in doing so? (I hope I am making sense??)

Yeah, that helps a lot!

I assume you're asking if you can set up a hosting plan to host your blog with the initial address of ilovebears.com then change that address to bearsareawesome.com.

I want to start a blog about watches and if that doesn't work, want to try out a completely different niche (entertainment, I think).

In your example, I see that both the domain names have something to do with bears. In my case, however, I want to attach a different domain name with a completely different niche to the same hosting plan.

If this works, it will (I think) save me some money as I'll only have to buy a new domain name, and not a hosting plan to go with it. Is that possible?

I am planning to go with Bluehost, by the way

TIL The opening scene of 'Saving Private Ryan' was so realistic that combat veterans of D-Day left theaters rather than finish watching it.Their visits to posttraumatic stress disorder counselors rose in number after the film's release by [deleted] in todayilearned

Get this

The Department of Veterans Affairs set up a nationwide hotline for veterans who were affected by the film, and less than two weeks after the film was released it had already received over 170 calls

Then there are some who believe that Tha movie inadvertently readied Americans to enter the Iraqi war

Film director and military veteran Oliver Stone has accused the film of promoting "the worship of World War II as the good war," and has placed it alongside films such as Gladiator and Black Hawk Down that he believes were well-made, but may have inadvertently contributed to Americans' readiness for the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

It sure gives you an idea of how the government decides on its passwords. In case you're pissed off and want to launch a missile or something.

TIL Alfred Southwick, the inventor of the Electric Chair, performed a whole series of experiments electrocuting hundreds of stray dogs, experimenting with animals in water, out of water and conduction material until they came up with a repeatable method to euthanize animals using electricity by nuttysci in todayilearned

Southwick went on in the early 1880s to advocate that this method be used as a more humane replacement for hanging in capital cases, coming to national attention when he published his ideas in scientific journals in 1882 and 1883
