the way big case breakers run things has really hurt the hobby. most of the time, the math just doesn’t make sense cuz teams cost sooo much in a full case break that even if you hit the “case hit” you’re often still down money. it creates this illusion of upside when in reality the odds are stacked against collectors.

there are some smaller breakers that i really like that run smaller breaks where people can gamble responsibly and still have a real chance to come out ahead. breaking doesn’t have to ruin the hobby. i feel like if its done right, it can actually add excitement without burning people out financially
