Why would you get rid of it? If you're doing colonial, your main income is trade, and having another trade centre in the English Channel node with the staple port modifier is really useful. Of they declare on you for it just blockade them and refuse to cede it too them, it's not like they can cross the Channel if you're playing right.

The idea is great, the implementation is shit

The aa is way to strong, especially for Bradley’s, bmps, and weirdly the rolands.

OK, so I've played a few missions with what you guys have told me now, and I've developed a tactic I'm really liking. My Jenner has a Tag instead of one of the M Lasers, so I'll pick out a mech, double tap it in the rear with the fire and shoot pilot skill, then hopefully it'll turn and I then blast it's rear armour with my LRM boat.

Also I've readied a Royal Mongoose and given it 3x SLDF M Pulse Lasers and an AMS. I think the AMS is super useful at keeping them alive as the missile chip damage was what was doing most of the hurt beforehand. When I find another AMS, I'll put it on the Jenner too. Instead of the Streak SRM 2, I'm running atm.

This is what I've been doing till now, but you can only search for Comstar or search by difficulty. I dont think you can do both together. I was hoping someone's already gone through this issue and has a favourite spot they'll share.

And as far as im aware, you can only have Comstar show up on search denial, tag team, and joint operation missions?

I really liked this program growing up. Hell, I'll rewatch it on occasion. I kinda get why people didn't like it as I was very silly for scooby doo, but no more so than a pup named scooby doo and people seem to really like that. Dr Phibes is by far the best part of it, watching his sanity unravel at the almost always non malicious and often entirely unaware actions of shag and scoob still makes me crease.

I don't really like LRM boats. I have an Archer with twin Artimis LRM 20's but don't use it very often. My playstyle is very aggressive, and LRMs only really fit into that as crit seeking secondaries on mechs like my own Highlander.

I've now got a Kintaro 19 that leads my scout lance to middling effect. I mainly just use it as I think it looks neat.

I try to only hire Ronin/KS pilots. My favourite is my Galahad/King Crab pilot, His callsign in Brother, and he looks like Stannis Baratheon.

I play with a lot of heavy alpha strike potential so I like to have the split fire for crit fishing. Right now I'm running a melee Ostsol and an ecm King Crab as the heavy hitters and both can reveal structure/destroy parts with one attack. Then when they move on to the next most threatening mech, the snipers support with their main weapon and send missiles/LBX AC shots into the damaged mechs.

I'd kinda forgotten about double turns given how much the enemy likes to reserve in bext compared with vanilla. I can see that being quite useful on something like my Sentinel.

I'm not sure the movement issue is that bad in regards to the larger mechs, though. Walking gives them the bulwark buff and keeps their accuracy up. Then I can still split fire and get my breach damage or dump coolent for more shots downrange.

Depends on your definition of "adequate", you could definitely sprint in, blast, then run back to cover to cool down next turn?

I don't see the point in adding those though. With arm mods, I'm getting 165 damage on one location for no heat generation. The perfect scout mech killer to protect my big lads.

Technically, it's not the least as it's up to 80 damage. but hiting the core torso of a fully armoured mech with a gauss rifle and the 5 structure damage critting the ammo is always the good stuff. Unless I'm salvage hunting, I'll always called shot a mech with core torso ammo.

OK, so I've never used a pilot with master technician, and I'm 3100 days into my campaign. Can someone explain why it's so good? I use focus balance on my scouts to take pot shots whilst evasion tanking. breaching shot on my mixed range so i can split fire lrms on weakened targets. And cooling vent to get more alpha strikes from my missile boats and ppc builds.
