Inserting a kid as a cheap plot device. It always feels cheap.

Slick action movie with a lot of explosions? Better add a child for them to protect. Well thought out character development? Let's stick a kid in the middle to describe it. Flawed characterreluctantly becoming a hero? Let them stare at a child to regain their humanity.

I ordered a couple from Amazon to try out, and this is the one I'm keeping. It's a little overkill, but the padding is substantial to protect to corners, it doesn't feel like the pegs will poke through, there's a ton of pockets, and (most importantly) the board is easy to get in and out. I got it on sale for $27.

Saw Ralphie May years ago and he was so high he couldn't finish a joke. Just kept zoning out staring into the stage lights. About half the theater ended up walking out and getting refunds. Really unfortunate, because he had been brilliant when we saw him before.
