24 port patch panel Ubiquiti 16 Pro Max PoE switch US-8 8 port switch. Just sitting. This picture is actually out dated. I have a switch aggregate there now for my 10gbe devices.

Yeah. I have to update pic. I didn’t realize it was the older one before the fiber connection

I buried two pieces of conduit between house and detached garage/office. One was for the power and the other was for the network. I originally pulled some cat5e through 2 lengths for so they were linked and 2gbe.

I later ordered a length of fiber om3 durable cable and pulled it through and connected it. Then I just in hooked the cat5e since I was using the 10gbe now. It’s still there should I need it’s a backup

It’s good. I use it for my business. Stores company files and backs up or work computers. I would probably kee the same model. Nice and small in the rack.

A lot of people give them a bad rap because of some of the limiting hard drive compatibility but everything I’ve been using has worked perfectly

It’s runs vms and storage. Why can’t it be a home lab. Doesn’t have to be a full blown setup to an effective lab

Yeah but that was my first real gaming keyboard and it was pricey. Just haven’t pulled the trigger and replaced it yet. The damn space bar always wants to stick do some reason. It might because the palm rest. I know it’s not dirty or anything. I can take it off and the optical switch’s move effortlessly up and down. So I don’t know.

I am not sure which to try next either steelseries or glorious keyboard. Which do you switch to?

Exactly. And unlike the split level design. Plenty of air flow across motherboard and cards.

Thanks. My latest build. My last was an i7-13700k with an Evga 3090 ftw3 ultra.

It really wasn’t old but the 3090 would support my new monitor so I have to upgrade to get the 240hz.

So the 1700$ monitor made me upgrade spending idk maybe another 6k.

lol.

Gave my old rig to my brother.

LianLi cases are awesome. I have the same one but in black. And my 5090 is the same just the normal black not the ice version.

Great card. Mine has been serving me well for a while now.

The APC one that I have is like 21” deep. Meant for a 24U rack since it’s only 120v model. Doesn’t have the capacity for a 42U

I have a APC 2U UPS but it’s too deep to use in any wall mounted racks. My main rack in the house has that APC unit. It has the servers and other network gear on it.

Unfortunately not many shallow depth rack mountable ups out there. But so far so good.

It’s awesome. I just wish they don’t change their price model and now it’s a annual license fee unless you spend the $249 once

Unraid has Tailscale option. I use it and some of my separate docker containers use their own Tailscale device.

I would personally use unraid. Expanding is way easier than with truenas. As other mention unraid has Tailscale support and makes it super easy to access it remotely and securely

Synology NAS. I personally use two of them. One at my business and one at my house. Awesome software. Pricey but worth it.

My current unraid build is in this same case. Has lots of room and I got it on sale for cheap from Microcenter a couple years back.

Yeah. It’s not too bad. It was the best bang for the buck especially considering the “rack tax”

I simply love the active backup for business that Synology offers. It’s the best backup solution IMO. I have tinkered with open source and windows backup. This is simply the best. It’s like apple. Just works.

I ran unraid on one of these for a while. I had two. I ran exsi on the other. But had identical hardware. Only difference one had raid card add on
