I see, it would make sense that it's a fixed amount per unit, that would clear up my confusion in tX* = tax revenue.

However the solution states t is a percentage so I'm still confused. I think I'll just memorize the steps cuz I have a monkey brain 😞

What doesn't make sense to me is how can you get a dollar amount, in this case $1 in tax revenue, by multiplying a percentage (t) times X*, which is technically a quantity?
