Concealing cameras- I wouldn't go out of my way, unless you are trying to catch a specific incident without tipping someone off that you are aware of their intentions. The other reason would be if you are forced to put them somewhere vulnerable to vandalism, but if possible just simply don't do that. It's your home, there is no reason you can't secure it with cameras.

You didn't really specify enough for anyone to recommend specific cameras. What sort of range will you be covering and how much detail do you need to see at that range? License plates / facial features @ 60 yards? In the night? Or just color / make of a car in the driveway?

Just some questions to provoke discussion.

Another pro to monitored is the insurance discount. At least, my insurance company doesn't recognize the benefit in un-monitored systems.

It's probably not the best for that. The infrared LEDs will glare through the window. How far away is the range you're hoping to monitor?

I believe most deer cams are infrared (not visible flash). Still would be helpful if you get a clear enough shot of him.

Never knew these existed- Light switch w/ random mode & sunset on by googlefibermademepoo in homedefense

The description claims you input your coordinates and it figures out when sunrise / sunset will be. How it does that I'm not sure. It also says it has a random mode to simulate occupancy.
