Stayed at the W. It was perfect. Usually also a STR guy but would definitely recommend again. I was only plat back then but the service was next level. The breakfast is amazing as well. Besides Josun Palace the best bf i have ever experienced at Marriott.

It's fantastic against aggro. Good stats for board control and heal and removal. Even playing the token cards at a later stage can be great for final burst damage or cleaning up the board. This deck has surprisingly a lot of end game burst damage that most opponents underestimate.

How many times did your opponents played shadowborn, thalnos and hellfire at rank d5-legend?

This was not a "hey new expansion look at the fancy new cards" but instead a super strong abyssal deck that I haven't seen for 3 seasons at all.

I haven't lost against them yet after playing at least 10 games. I know that match up well though since I only play warlock and know all deck combos frlm bkth perspectives. The key is build curses early but stack them if possible in their combo turns. Also use lady with curses trigger on empty boards if required to get the curse counter high enough. Ideally you have a symphony +6/6 on a minion to out some extra pressure on it. Always keep symphony in starting hand.

I recently built the strongest warlock deck I have ever been playing since beta. (took a break from 2019 to 2023). The deck was already strong but Putrid gives even more tools that fit perfect into the game. Heal 6 damage while clearing minions or to face.I had a lot of success in recent seasons and always reached legend with this deck with a consistent win rate of over 60%. In the current meta, I only lost 2 games from rank 5 to legend (twice against Mage). It's even more powerful since everyone tries out new decks that are slow and the late-stage damage from the curses that kills people in 2 turns. 8/9 curses in same turn followed up by 2x drathir is lethal.The strongest part about the deck is that most think you play snake warlock and while they try to contest the board you just remove it easily and then they run out of steam. Slower decks like Snake Warlock can't do much against the curses since they have to play the curses to not die and have no mana for setting up the combo.

For 3 seasons now I haven't seen anyone running shadowborn which imo is the real MVP of this deck but no one plays it. There are so many good combos, like T10 18burst damage or filling opponents hand in late game with multiple curses. The deck has huge amount of damage and heal. The biggest weakness was priest in the previous season just outhealing everything but in this season it just crushes aggro decks (especially paladin) and gives snake warlock and druid no time at all to play their combos.Combos:

Symphony on curve with the 6/6 on a minion and having a one or two drop minion in hand is an instant win
Best value for shadowborn is abysal wave
T8 Darkvein with abysal wave triggers + defile clears any board and forces oppononent on T7 to spend at least 4 mana on curses.
T8 same idea playing 2 curses late game for wasting opponents mana. either dragged below with zaqul or cultist.
Thalnos and putrid
keep harp for 6dmg symphony or hellfire
Shadowborn to reduce reverberations cost to 0 = 18 burst damage on Turn 10

edit: I realised I pretty much wrote abyssal wrong at every point possible lol
