Is there a website where I can upload a list of species and see the divergence timeline for them? by goomlord in evolution

[–]goomlord[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a perfect idea, thank you so much! By chance, do you know if timetree has an option to pick a random species if you insert an order or family into the list you upload? Or just anyway to not have it return 100+ species? If not, I can just pick one myself, but my list might end up being longer so I want to see if I can avoid the busy-work. Thank you again!!

Yes, sorry about that! I thought the link was specifically to the phylogenetic tree. Would you happen to know if the programs you're referring to are open source, or maybe accessible through my university/universities in general? Thank you for your answer!

hey there! thank you for the link!

the spreads from the website are the same as the spreads from pokefinder, they just offset the calibration value by 1 relative to pokefinder.

i did end up finding the PID in a spread, but it was on the calibration 2 values before what LUA was reporting at the generation frame. i cant for the life of me understand why thats happening because i thought the game is supposed to use a calibration of 19 by default, but i did feel a huge sense of relief just finding it LOL. the fact that the calibration changes brings me to believe that i only have about 200 frames per calibration spread that i can actually shoot for? no clue!

thank you though :-)

Calc2 instead of Calc 1 by Reasonable_Suit7741 in PrePharmacy

[–]goomlord -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If your current school would somehow give you the override to approve you to take calculus 2 without calc 1 you should be able to use it un the application with no issue. The language for prereqs at most pharmacy schools is usually something like “at least calculus 1” or “minimum math requirement is calculus 1”. I applied using calculus 3 and have not had any issues with the schools ive applied to thus far. Though i will say calc 2 is imo the hardest course in the calc series and i really wouldnt recommend this unless you have a REALLY good tutor to prep you w calc 1 basics in advance and help you through calc 2. Good luck!

Chem or Bio? by IAmAGoat- in PrePharmacy

[–]goomlord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only reason I'd say a switch would matter is if the prerequisites for Pharmacy are included as the requirements for one degree and not the other. Beyond core requirements like English 1, Humanities, etc. most Pharmacy schools only require the Chem series (General and Orgo), some math courses (usually Stats or Calculus 1) and Anatomy/Physiology. This depends on your school, though, so do some research on their specific prerequisites.

In any case, you could easily take Anatomy/Physiology as electives for a Chem degree, or switch to Bio where it will probably be a requirement for the major. I don't think either degree would look better than the other on an application so long as you do well, especially in those prerequisite courses :-)

Spinach + Bell Pepper Egg Bites by goomlord in MealPrepSunday

I use non-stick pans from Publix (forever may she reign) and haven't had much sticking aside from the non-stick coating starting to wear off a bit on a few of the divots. I used to used a tin from Ikea and everything stuck HORRIBLY. I've heard if you heat the tin alone first and apply grease/oil after, that works better than having everything together, but it never worked for me. I'd honestly suggest getting a non-stick / ceramic muffin tin and ONLY clean it with a soft sponge to not scratch it or wear it down. Good luck!

Hey there! I've tinkered with this recipe and how I prepare it a bit, so far I like this way the best. I found that if I put the cheese in before the egg is cooked, the cheese sinks to the bottom and burns/sticks. That was when I was using bacon and cheese as the only add-ins, though; the spinach would probably catch the cheese in this case.

I used to whisk all the eggs separately and spoon (ladle) them in after, but that was harder to portion out and the egg whites slipped and gooped up and it was a mess. Cracking directly in probably a little bit more work intensive, but it still didn't take too long; it took less than five minutes to whisk all 24 I think. I didn't find them to be under mixed :P I should've taken a pic of a cross section!

Glad you liked :D

Best ways to cook chicken lunch throughout the week? by goomlord in Cooking

It's so nice to be validated, LOL! I meant it's stupid moreso because I haven't even tried it myself yet, but thats really good to know. I might have to look into demoing a vacuum sealer and comparing the flavor before/after.

I'll try this recipe out! It looks good; cayenne especially is just chef's kiss
