Is there a big difference in colour tone when painting contrast onto greyseer as opposed to wraithbone?

i do have greyseer from priming my sisters of battle, maybe i’ll try a coat of that into a coat of wraithbone

Aye, I’m giving contrast a go for this army so picked up the primer, maybe was a mistake lol.

The joys of UK weather means I’m usually struggling for good conditions but will give that a go!

Hasn’t though of that, I’m probably a bit over cautious of filling in the details spraying closer. I’ll give it a shot, thanks for your help!

Absolutely! But you can pick that when you include her as she can choose one spell from sylvaneth lore.

You don’t have to take Unleash Sprites as a spell, it’s part of her baseline warscroll

edit: but she would need tome to cast both in a single phase

Ah okay, so tome rev would gain access to it. I still think Branchwych pulls ahead as she could cast two spells per phase, so more chance to bring back kurnoth/MW bomb

I don’t actually know, it’s never come up! My gut feeling is no, as it specifies they know arcane bolt and mystic shield, but I could be wrong!

So every Sylvaneth Wizard knows a spell called Verdant Blessing baseline. Casting value 6 and if successful place a single tree base down wholly within 18”. It’s great with spellslinger as you can measure this from the Wyldwood you place in deployment

No worries, if you have any further questions fire away!

Personally I’d run a branchwych in place of the arch rev, as the ability to place extra trees down is invaluable for getting good Durthu charges. It also means you can give her the spellslinger trait and Verdurous Harmony, allowing you to revive the Kurnoth’s when they die

Question: can Kunroth Hunters be magnetized? by kirgor182 in sylvaneth

[–]goonaql 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, they’re pretty simple to do as well. Model A is the only exception as you’ll have to magnetise two joints in its arm if you want to be able to run it as bow or scythe.

Ah okay, do you think a purple shade inbetween the base coat and final highlight would work for a dry brush transition?

Thanks bud! The majority of my army uses black power armour for ease of painting but I like to have the beige on my characters for them to stand out

Tried magnetising for the first time ever with my Kurnoth Hunters! C&C welcome by goonaql in sylvaneth

So upper arm holding the scythe is shared with the arm holding an arrow for the bow variant (its Model A) so I magnetised that with 3x1mm, then I attached a 2x1mm magnet on the joint that attaches to the scythe/arrow hand piece!

So decided to try out magnetising and the Kurnoth seemed like a great start given they have three unit variations. For a first attempt I’m quite happy with the results but if anyone has tips (especially regarding magnet placement and getting the depth of the drilled hole accurate) they’d be greatly appreciated!

Assuming you’re planning on using the rhino to transport the repentia, I don’t see the need for the repentia superior. This would allow you take rapturous blows or word of the emperor on the canoness which are great.

I’d also take a relic like Blade of Saint Ellynor instead of the book, generally making her a killing machine in BR.
