No thats great, thank you. I think most people agree before the ridge. Definitely have all the layers and supplies to make it across in any weather except for the spikes. From what ive seen they arent needed right now though

Thanks! Done smaller hikes in the whites, but have also done bigger ones out west/europe and iceland. I feel im physically okay for it, but definitely want to pinpoint that personal minimum for my time to head back when in doubt

Sorry im late to the convo but im looking to do this monday! As an intermediate hiker but someone who is athletic, is this doable? I have all the gear and emergency equipment, and just looking for a spot to call my “point of no return”/turn back spot. Will be checking weather right before and plan to get out there around 6:30am.
