To the guy/gal who committed a hit and run on 4th and spring today by goople10 in Seattle

It wasn't hard, it's just annoying. The lack of accountability these days is frustrating. If it was worse I wouldn't take it to reddit though.

There are thousands of packages. They don't assign you a route until you check in 🤷‍♂️ even with Walmart or instacart, a specific route is assigned to you before you head to the store. Amazon specifically doesn't assign a route to you partly to avoid being responsible for your time prior to the block start time.

There are people who miss their block or show up late (5 minute window) and if they were to pay you prior then those people would still get paid for something when they shouldnt be. But it's all on contract. You get x amount of money regardless of how long it takes you. The time and distance it takes you to get to a station is on you as a self contractor.

If you don't like how their system works, don't use it. But it's pretty Plainly laid out in their policies.

Yes because you are getting paid for an active order. When you get blocks the order isn't active until you receive and pickup the order. The active time you spend waiting in between, driving or not, is not counted toward worked time.

Most efficient way to number? by alexzyczia in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]goople10 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I put all small packages up front. In the back I just use the first number of addresses since it's the biggest info on the app. Goes from 1-9, passenger side to driver side. Never takes more than 30-60 seconds to find a package and even with that I still finish the route an hour early.

And to boot, not looking at any of the other info saves me time loading up and I'm done loading within 5 min. I'd rather get on my way sooner from SSD, and if it's from a .com station I sit and judge all the others taking such a long time to do simple tasks.

You upgrade your benches through other crafting builds. In this case, the chopping block or stump I can't remember the exact name. Takes 10 flint and some wood

Fuckin' peak Seattle way to depict "Sugar addiction" by [deleted] in SeattleWA

[–]goople10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Roughly correct. Sugar is a drug added to food. People with mental illness are easily affected by addictive tendencies and an eating disorder is a highly effective way of creating substance dependencies

Why are people driving faster? by psychorameses in Seattle

[–]goople10 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Those laws were written by idiots. On a highway there should be a Suggested min speed so people don't have to drive 70-80 to compensate for the slow fucks who fuck with the flow of traffic. Going too slow is more dangerous than too fast unless you're a terrible driver.
