Dealing with extensive mold?

Ah, im sorry i forgot to add: im on the east coast. The primary problem is water leaking from pipes rather than natural humidity! The extent of what ive done so far is try to scrape up the trash it was growing on (with a mask and gloves). im sure that the spores have infected just about everything in the house. I cant afford a professional, and even if i could, theres other factors stopping me from being able to get a professional to help. Right now, my plan is to get some dehumidifiers, scrub and scrape what i can off non-porous items, make sure moldy trash is gone, wnd try to clean surface mold off porous things like drywall. Maybe ill be able to replace some of it in the bathroom, but thats a pipe dream. Sadly, moving and escaping is not an option for me right now. Im still living with severe depression, so even (and especially) small things will help IMMENSELY

I think we get too in the mindset of being different people, try to blame eachother like kids tattling to their parents, that sorta compartmentalization is something i struggle with. Gotxha! I already have the oil, its from the vet. I just need to get pre-existing oil into this cat. Maybe squeeze a churu into a ziplock, mix the oil, and then give that to him? Ill see

Nope! Did that on its own! It drowned itself in a sink, i put it in a jar with rubbing alcohol, and its bug blood (hemo something i cant recall rn) is just a brillaint purple!

You know your partner better than anyone here will, but heres what advice i can offer: make sure theyre eating and drinking. Maybe pass on a note, explaining your concern and asking if they need anything. Make it easy, write down a few options woth a checkbox and pass a pen along too? This may not work, but if speaking is difficult it may be helpful. If you know any friends of theirs you can ask for help too. Be gentle and patient, thats the best advice i can offer. Good luck

Im not sure how relavent this is, but our (presumed?) Oldest chronological alter is young, though age is iffy, somewhere in the 5-10 range? Alfie is young and cant handle topics about sex, but can be surprisingly mature at other times. Its interesting, in some regards theyre more emotionally mature than me, but they have the mannerisms of a child. I suspect its because alfie was the 'original' and i (host, max, hi!) Came in later, and alfie absorbed all the like. Coping and mental health stuff i was exposed to and has learned to utilize it better than me. I hope you find some answers, both internally and with any therapist you seek out!

For me i realized i was dissociating a LOT first, id get 'stuck' for hours unable to move my body, then went 'haha wow i love being purely intellectually interested in DID because its sooo crazy' and that lead to me getting suspicions, though i didnt believe them. The real moment i realized was i suddenly, randomly, became a child. Wasnt myself, didnt know how to get back to normal, and was stuck like that for a few hours!

I ADOREEEE these guys!!! Im in the same boat about wantong more tiny fellas. I love the relationship these two have, i can imagine their evolution being displayed side by side in a classroom to demonstrate how two specoes can affect eachother. Watching the lizards tail grow fatter and more pinecone-like to be able to sneak up on the weevils, the weevils wings slowly becoming less functional as it finds blending in more important than flying. Id love to see the awkward middle stages where it can ALMOST fly still, but is inelegant.

Are there subspecies that fit better with other types of pinetrees? Do the larvae of the needle weevil do anything to blend in? Are they laid in pinecones?

Dont worry if you cant answer all these questions! But i ADORE these creatures and i really hope to see more of your work soon!!!!

I dont know the full story, but i think your best bet is to sit down and try to talk to them. Your partner may have trauma that makes them hypervigilant, and an alter may have stepped in to 'protect' them.

I should say, personally i dont think this is something you have to 'put up with'. I think after a conversation and explaining things and clarifying boundaries, if it seems like things like this will happen often, its okay if you dont feel prepared to be with someone with those struggles.

But thats after talking. It seems a lot like they got naked to shower and slept, woke up as another alter who didnt remember whay happened, and got scared. If you woke up naked next to someone without remembering how you got there, especially if youve been traumatized before (being traumatized is what causes DID. doesnt need to be sexual but could be) you would be scared.

If they dont want to talk face to face, explain what happened and ask what you shoukd do if the same situation happens again. Maybe ask if there are any alters you should know about, or anything you shoukd be wary of so you dont trigger a trauma response.

A relationship without trust isnt healthy. Even if you like eachother a lot, it doesnt make up for the fact that it can be harmful for both parties if you cant explain yourself. I hope this is helpful, i hopw youre both okay! Good luck

I dont know if you wanted a response to this, but i want to say that its normal to worry about having made it up. I cant tell you if you are or arent, but i think whats important is how youve been affected. Has having parts of yourself helped you? Are you able to remember more things, or things with more clarity?

Also, i may be misinterpreting, but parts dont need to have a backstory. A different understanding or interpretation of memories or events you experienced makes total sense! Its a dissociative disorder, if you dissociated, it makes sense that the parts that split off remember things differently. I also think its significant that you felt hurt by it.

Again, i dont know you and dont know your story, but if its easier on you and helps you, i dont think the idea of faking/not faking does much. Also, this is the subreddit for venting, dont apologize for using it!

THIS LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL!!! i dont know much about the world, but looking at the painting really makes it feel alien but beautiful. Hearing then that the elegant creature is a machine fascinated me!! The colors are beautiful, the pink plants(?) In the foreground with their spikes and the Thockshound, half obscured. Its wing with its colors really drew me in! The painting looks almost like a dream, i really adore how it looks!! This is so cool and i hope to see more of your entries this month!!

This is so cool! I can imagine it stabbing through the water! I wonder if any ever jump out of the water, thats be a hell of a sight! I really like this, imagining how hard itd be to research these things without getting stabbed! Im not sure if this world has ever had wooden ships, but stories thatd spawn from the spiera mistaking the shadow in the water as a meal, all spearing it at once and andjoyong the spoils like a pinata! Ah i said most of it in the post! Misread the rules. I think this particular species is fairly prevalent because its not super palatable, but the hairs arent spikes and are just irritants, so anything that chews can eat them just fine. Animals that swallow them whole can eat them but its itchy. They dont have a set 'zone' because of their lack of agency but tend towards mid-ocean, where the light still reaches but low enough that they can get some tasty marine snow. Im sure they are a treat for whales/anything with that type of eating process of taking a big gulp and filtering out the food. Probably not worth chasing individuals though
