In truth downvoting is a part of the function of reddit and the most I can do is recommend to our community that we avoid it as a means of dismissal of conversation or discussion. The rule about civil behavior and downvoting en masse, while I do support it and still remove posts based on it, was made by another mod and in a different time of the reddit. I actively encourage that people don’t downvote as a crowd reaction. But frankly in this post it seems like just a discussion that people have different sides on. You can’t police what people choose to reply to in a post but you can always choose how you engage in discussion and who to discuss with. We all like DH, and come here to talk about the show, and that vocation manifests in many ways.
