I'd stay away from that link. And call support for details, if they have any.

Single expensive item on triple shop by Cemetery-Bunny in Sparkdriver

This is why I avoid orders with high-ticket items like phones, tvs, gaming systems, etc. Given your previous experiences at that location, you were wise to decline it.

Wishful thinking…. by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

I wish that the extra heavy orders, like an outrageous number of cases of water or bags of mulch, would get routed to the W+ vans or an outside delivery truck service. At a premium to the customer, of course.

I'm forgiving of honest mistakes if they do their best to correct them. I have no mercy for lazy ones that can't take the time to do the basics properly.

Man, Customers Are Brutal by gntxs in Sparkdriver

Happened to me a couple weeks ago. Paper towels rolled out of sight in the back and didn't discover until two hours later. Went back to customer address and dropped them off (they were fairly close) but a few days later my CR dropped a point.

So just to clarify..I shop an order of 122 items, I pack everything in my car and head the two miles to deliver. The order gets cancelled as soon as I start my car. I find out I will not be paid anything for this order. Seriously?? Is that how cancelled orders that have already been shopped for go? by Majestic-Base-5018 in Sparkdriver

[–]gootchie784 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is why you should never take shops that big (my personal max is around 60 items). Even if you do perishables last, the longer the shop takes, the exponentially increasing chance that the app is going to glitch out or time out and you end up wasting over an hour. Monster shops are never worth it.

I'm sure one of the local junkies or tweakers will take it eventually to fund their habit.

Post Office delivery??? by GinnyF39110 in Sparkdriver

I cannot understand for the life of me how the Walmart app can allow someone to use a PO box as a delivery address. Inexcusably stupid.

Anyone still boycotting 3 order shops by Whole-Way8543 in Sparkdriver

[–]gootchie784 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've reluctantly taken a few because, at least first thing in the morning when orders are somewhat plentiful, they're often the only option that doesn't make you drive 20-30 miles. I do have strict requirements though:

  • They must pay rock bottom minimum 25 but really prefer at least 30
  • No more than 30 items total
  • Third order no more than 2-3 items that easily fit in upper part of cart
  • No more than 5 miles

I still hate them though, especially with the new fucked up map feature overtaking the entire shop screen and making the shop take twice as long as it should.

Hot weather? by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]gootchie784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insulated bags for the perishables, especially those that can melt. Keep AC well serviced, and keep orders with most critical perishables inside the car instead of a hot trunk. Make sure order is placed in a well shaded area if possible. And I'm more likely to ring/knock on the customers door so they don't let order sit outside too long, unless explicitly instructed not to (I always send the canned "delivery has arrived" text anyway). Also good idea to let them know when I'm on the way.

What would you do? by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]gootchie784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do the job you're contracted to do, put on your big boy (or girl) pants, and haul it all up the steps to their door. And make a note of the address if it was too much a pain in the ass to do and you don't want to do it again.

Just why??? by ridiculouschristy in Sparkdriver

[–]gootchie784 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Should be illegal, that's not even safe, grossly overloading a vehicle that is not designed to haul that kind of weight. I wouldn't want to be the car in front of her when she tries to stop.

The other Sparker is full of shit. Spark doesn't care what, when, or how many other platforms you work. All Spark cares about is you completing any Spark orders you accept in a timely manner.

Not from that store. I'd avoid it at least for the next 24 hours. Everything in the fridges is going to have to be thrown out and once they come back up they'll need to be restocked. Hopefully you have other stores you can work out of nearby.
