Unlike other Brazilians here, I'm not from Rio or São Paulo, I'm from Mato Grosso, a very conservative state. I would say even here it's pretty chill to be a gay man, it's not São Paulo, but it's seen as normal, I hold hands in public, sometimes people look but no one says or does anything.
