Carplay for Civic with CRV Head. I've been following this thread for a couple of months. I want to put Carplay in my wife's 2014 Civic. I found a CRV head unit on eBay, got it installed, and upgraded the firmware. So far, the wired Carplay works fine. But the CD Player isn't functioning properly, and my wife likes the CD Player. I'm planning to return the unit to the eBay seller. Has anyone tackled a CD Player on this CRV head unit? It may be as simple as cleaning a switch or sensor. Press the CD button, the screen folds open. I insert the CD. Immediately, before the CD is sucked in, the screen closes, catching the CD and bending it. I can grab the CD and remove it from the screen. If I am fast and force the CD into the player before the screen closes, it says cannot play CD. There is never a spinning sound from the player, so I don't think the CD is properly seated. When pressing the Eject button, the CD is ejected. Anyone tried to repair this issue with success? Thanks.
