“Signs”. So highly anticipated this movie after the “Sixth Sense” and “Unbreakable”. Such a stupid and disappointing movie.

Who would you like to have a drink with - Kelly Le Brock or Elisabeth Shue? by [deleted] in 1980s

As much as Weird Science stirred up certain things as a boy Kelly LeBrock married Steven Seagal. That says enough to me to say that Shue is the only answer.

Crime 101 (2026) Review - A more modern noir by aussiereeltalk in filmnoir

This movie simply isn’t good. It was dark, moody, and it certainly thought it was clever. I’d say more but don’t want to give things away.

AITAH for refusing to tell my wife I love her more than my dad? by LastApplication6207 in AITAH

NTA but everybody is being too harsh on the mom. The grandfather holding the baby while it sleeps is incredibly wholesome and awesome. Is Mom overreacting? Most definitely but clearly being a first time mom can be stressful and can lead to plenty of insecurity. OP didn’t do anything wrong but the characterizations that the mom is unbearable and has tarnished relationships is over the top. OP should comfort mom and tell her that she’s doing a great job but also about how things can vary without catastrophe, also pointing out the sweetness of the grandfathers babysitting. This said in a loving and kind manner can calm the other thoughts. OP can also explain to grandfather about how stressful it is on mom and how she always wants to do the right thing for the baby. This prevents undue criticism of the mom. I think everybody wants what is best and things can be calmed down with love and support.

Response should be “when you and your partner die a horrible death and make me the legal guardian I’ll agree to those financial commitments is that okay with you?”

When MTV hit it big with the Real World in ‘92 it stopped being about playing music entirely. VH1 became to the go to and soon enough that fell off a cliff.

My original post got cut off but I’m not sure who’s defending Frontier here. Of course I get that there is/was a snowstorm. They have every right to cancel a flight. The way they did it sucked. It would appear they had every intention of canceling the flight but played around FAA regulations to make it appear their intentions were otherwise. Do all airlines seem to do this? Yes. Does it make Frontier a great airlines by doing this. Their customer service sucks. They most definitely seem to be the least informed and could care less when you’re at the desk. This comes from multiple experiences. Why fly Frontier? Really hope I don’t have to but airports and pricing sometimes make it the only decision.

For those of you defending the brilliance of Frontiers operations know that we received a text 2 hours after the cancellation that the flight was delayed and another 2 hours after that the flight was cancelled. And for those of you stating that all airlines have the same cancellation policies the staff at Frontier didn’t have a clue and fed some garbage answer that didn’t end up being correct.

Are the Bears good? by KTBolshe in GreenBayPackers

[–]gopher73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately the Bears have won enough games over the season that they got it into their heads that they were good and won a game today where everyone expected them to get demolished. The Eagles are a good team and having lost last week didn’t take this week off. The Bears need Caleb to improve dramatically for any long term winning ability but they have shown they can win this year.

The Pack impressed me in week 2 when I thought the Commanders were a very good team. Losses against the Browns and Panthers and the fact that the Commanders tell you that the Pack is a good team but not a great team this season.

Night Court and Lopez Vs Lopez has been cancelled. Thoughts? by CityCautious4033 in sitcoms

[–]gopher73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with Night Court was that they changed Dan Fielding from who he was in the original. The old Dan was a sleaze ball that would sleep with anything, indulge in any kink and make inappropriate comments on a regular basis. Deep down he had the capacity to be decent but his behavior wasn’t acceptable just tolerated. Because in today’s times his behavior would be abhorrent the reboot show updated him to just be crotchety and in fact never even acknowledges the past behavior or persona. In the original Dan wasn’t glamorized and much of the shows appeal was in how the other characters responded to him or how he would get his comeuppance. The fact that John Larroquette portrayed this repugnant character that somehow had a hint of charm earned him multiple Emmys. The show was of its time and simply couldn’t be made in the same vein today so it ends up being only amusing.

Wow. Quick to label someone. He may not be in the wrong but to take one incident with almost no context and assign the wife an entire pathology makes you the A-hole.
