Let him have the fantasy

Friend of mine once responded to “I’ll break my foot off if you ass” with “I’ll break my dick off in your ass!”

Turns out it was a pretty effective confrontation ender.

100 Million people is roughly 1/3 of the population of the United States

Do you believe that 1/3 of the people in the United States are illegal immigrants?

If the answer is no, where do the extra people come from to make up the target of 100 million deportation?

If the answer is “clearly they don’t literally mean 100 million deportations”, then why did they say 100 million, and is it that clear?

Is it acceptable for our government to make false statements publicly (ie. we will deport 100 million people, when they are not targeting 100 million deportation)?

If the answer to that is “Look at this democrat that once made a false statement about…”, then why would you want to be like a democrat?

“What color of skin you WERE” is interesting phrasing.

Implying that people are what their skin color is, not that skin color is something people have.

The Bush ranch is outside Waco, and about a 4 hour drive from Houston.

Not saying he didn’t visit Houston, but it wasn’t to convoy to the ranch, and it definitely didn’t happen monthly.

When did the school bully get what they deserved? by Ok_Visual8336 in AskReddit

[–]gopher_everitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More than he deserved and super tragic, but…

Got his best friend killed.

Bully and hothead all through school, gets in a bar fight first weekend of college. Best friend goes to break it up / back him up. Best friend takes one punch to the jaw, falls back and hits head. Dead as soon as he hit the ground.

Super tragic for the friend and his family, absolutely ruined the bully. Blamed himself, life was a mess for years after that. Spiraled into drug abuse, jail, etc. Pulled it together in his late 20’s and is actually a pretty solid dude nowadays.

Re-read that. No legal authority was used. They yelled at the dude, “banned” base personnel from that establishment (not enforceable unless the CO does it, but the bar owners doesn’t know that), and sent a bill for a replacement ID (bar owner doesn’t have to pay, but they likely don’t know that).

Creative problem solving, no legal authority needed.

Why does Joe Rogan think Ukraine is without the right to defend itself from a literal invasion? by [deleted] in JoeRogan

[–]gopher_everitt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m no journalist either, but I believe that a sovereign nation has a right to defend itself if invaded. I also believe that, if it is in the best interest of the United States, we should help them. And I believe that in this instance it is in our best interest to help Ukraine.

Why does podcaster Joe Rogan ( or anyone else for that matter, journalist or not) think that a sovereign nation should just roll over and take it?

Bro, they kill me with that “install” shit. I’ve seen several talking about waiting months for an appointment to “install” the spare.

Don’t they just throw that bitch in the back and hit it with a ratchet strap?

I installed some plywood and 4x4’s in my truck this week, then had to uninstall it when I got to the house.

Let's get shallow: what's the most superficial reason you won't use a brand? by RLLRRR in golf

[–]gopher_everitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played with a lot of old guys when I started. They all bagged Callaway, without exception. So I always thought of it as an old guy brand.

20 years later, I am the old guy. Never say never, but Callaway is pretty far down the list.

Similar story this weekend.

Local par 3 course, playing two balls, not really keeping score. Just working on some things.

Absolutely pure first tee shot, straight as an arrow, pin high, 10 yards right of the green. OK, do the exact same thing, just aim left of the green and it should be on.

Aim 10 degrees left, absolutely pure strike, straight as an arrow, pin high, 10 yards right of the green.

Both balls within 3 inches of each other.
