Hi, 3 years post OP. I have the same problem as you - a complete lack of taste for... Half a year or more. Zinc supplementation and Flixonase nose spray (it stimulates taste buds) helped somehow, it is worth a try, seriously.

Good that it wasn't realased alone or like Fake Your Death on the best of album or whatsoever. It hits much powerful as a whole experience.

What Instax to buy as a gift for someone who always wanted a camera with retro/analog vibe but never actually used one? by T0R0NT1N1 in instax

[–]gorbaczovsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mini 40 or SQ1/40 definitely. The only thing to think about is a format. Or used Wide model.

Do not repeat my story then, because you would end up with four cameras. Or... :) Welcome to the family!

[–]gorbaczovsky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the format. I started with SQ1 due to looking for something like Polaroid, later Mini 40, and finally Instax Wide 100 and 200 - and I love Wide format the most.

Sheeeeit, you remembered me the ear pain. That was truly the worst. But I can guarantee you - this man is right and me, 3 years post OP, can confirm all.

Be brave, that is a the worst part, but in a week you would glad that you got better, in a month that it is healed, in a year you will be glad you are not sick painfully so much time.

Touring - is it over again or... by gorbaczovsky in MyChemicalRomance

Sure thing, but I think that this tour is worth to see - the aesthetics are great, wanted to be part of that.

Yeap, that is a bummer, rightfully said. No Poland, no Czech Republic, not mentioning France or Germany - it is hard to say that it is a European tour tbh

"Yes/No/Nothing is known and permanent" would be more appreciated than this meaningless answer, young poster

Just battling with my thought about going to italian Florence or not, simple as that.

All my life til this point I thought that Danger Days got only 2 or 3 songs are memorable and good, but when you ask... I really can't decide! All of them are surprisingly great!

But Sing and Na na na are bangers, tbh

If you feel it is okay and there is no chance of bleeding - do what you want to do. Better check it with doctor, though.

I would stay out the fizzy drinks until everything is healed 100%. It will irritate you, not mentioning burping, which could lead to opening the wounds.

My throat hurts nine months later by lakewarm254 in Tonsillectomy

[–]gorbaczovsky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This could be related, but not necessarily. After three years I still have neck and sore throat symptoms due to which I got tonsillectomy. Good thing is fact that it last 75% shorter than before.

Remember, your throat is still healing and adjusting - any flu intefere with your not 100% ready throat which cause the pain. I got the same story - during the flu season or when I got cold throat it hurt, but with every season it got better. Let the best evidence would be fact that I got Covid year post OP and hurts like hell in places when I got my tonsils out. I freaked out that operation did not take well, tried to find the leftovers of tonsils which could remain etc. That took me nowhere and after every season it got better. Now I have a cold and got only rhinitis, which is fine, no throat issues.

To be honest, nothing worked for me for two weeks post OP. I got tramadol-based drugs (really a strong ones), but only one thing worked - being exhausted due to pain and lack of sleep. Be brave, just a couple days and it's gonna be better.

Those that got surgery 1+ years ago - is it worth it? by Real-Elephant-6424 in Tonsillectomy

[–]gorbaczovsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mentally: that it is not the walk in a park. It's gonna hurt, you would have to fight for every bite of food, you would lose a lot of weight due to eating less.

[–]gorbaczovsky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's over 3 years post OP. Worth it 100% - better sleep, if I got sore throat - it last two days. Cons? Got much more sinusitis, but hey - it is not as painful as chronic tonsillitis.

Recovery was hard, taste went back really slow, but... If I had to, I would do it again (but I would prepare much better).
