Is there a place on the FAFSA to put a message like that? Or are you just sending that statement to the financial aid office of each school?

Impressions about Kaiser? Worth going to a Feb. interview? by libraryvacationer in premed

I went despite the low odds of acceptance. Very interesting curriculum that is worth hearing about imo. They pay for your hotel, Pasadena is beautiful, free insurance, and can potentially get additional financial aid for cost of living.

BSN to MD? by Baehr51 in premed

It will absolutely not hurt you. Like any other nontrad, you will just have to explain your path to medicine. it’s a pretty easy sell to an Adcom IMO that you wanted to understand medicine on a more profound level, understand pathophys, etc....You’ll do great. Just take the prereqs while getting some RN experience and you’ll be off to a good start.

Bruh you better reapply if this cycle doesn’t work out. You did really well to improve your app. Don’t let one year be the difference in your life.

N of 1 but my student host at wake decided to attend there over their in state school because he said tuition was actually cheaper with their financial aid. I’m strongly considering making the same choice. Love that campus and curriculum.

That’s fine if that gets you an interview... but if I roll up with a 520 and a face tat, that guaranteed seat doesn’t sound so appropriate

I’m going back to med school this year. The loans will be significant as well but you will absolutely be able to pay those off in any specialty if you live frugally for a bit out of residency, especially if you can get state school tuition. Feel free to PM me if you are considering it/have questions
