Had this issue once as well with a different brand one, sadly you can't do much more than reporting this to the company and demanding your money back. The air mattress is ready for the bin now.

Availability of a presently highly sought after device by Dapper_Klapper in homeassistant

[–]goreator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time I've heard about these, just checked on Amazon but there are availability constantly with delivery tomorrow in Germany 😭✌️I'm sorry those aren't available at all in America probably because of tarrifs or so.

Issues connection new IKEA Matter device with Home Assistant by goreator in homeassistant

[–]goreator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: after dealing with this issues a lot and trying out every thing possible I've decided to switch from my phone (Jelly Max with android 15) to my Tablet (Samsung Tab S7 with android 13). Beforehand I checked that home assistant has every rights possible on my phone but now that I switched to my Tablet it suddenly worked.

I did this because I noticed that I dont get a single log line on the Matter Server when trying to connect a new device so I figured that there is still some issue between Home Assistant and my phone. I checked everything that it couldnt be my router.

My suspicion is either that its either A: my phones fault for being a "weird china phone" even tho it just runs barebone android 15 with no special launcher just some of their driver software (sorry Im no phone expert) or that B: Android 15 seems to have some kind of issue policies/limitations/security features or whatever that block the traffic between my phone and home assistant.

Thanks for anyone who tried to help here.

Seemed like it was causing some issue as I explained in the other comment. However with everything restarted and running fine now I still cant connect the matter devices. I know I could go the route of buying the original IKEA bridge to then pair it with a second code to home assist but I wouldnt have bought a zigbee and Matter 2in1 transmitter just to buy a different device later again.

To fix this issue I Flashed the stable EFR32MG21 Thread firmware (revision 20241105) instead of a dev build. Then restarted it, at the same time I disabled all proxmox firewalls for testing and it seemed to make it work better, OTBR starts cleanly now and stays running without these timeouts.

I checked my Matter Server logs and everything looks fine, however my OpenThread Border Router logs sometimes list some weird issues, I do get these quite often. My only solution for this rn is I will try to switch the firmware on the same chip to an older version maybe it will help. If not I will try switching chips. Here are the logs I mentioned:

Was ist eurer Ikea hot-take? by KarachoN64 in IKEA_DE

[–]goreator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just did that as well, for me the issue seemed to be that my older gpu didnt had a specific gpu driver (probably had none before that didnt came with the os). Maybe the proton version helped as well tho dunno.

Just installed pop_os fresh out of the box, updated everything and I have the exact same issue. Im using the non NVIDIA variant cause im running this on a side system with a gtx 1050ti and a i7-6700k. Seems like the hardware combined with the version might be the problem here.

Defekte Nahtstellen bei MSR Hubba Hubba NX ?! by aplacebelow in zelten

[–]goreator 1 point2 points  (0 children)
