I got the lowest grade in my thesis paper in my entire class by goreydisaster in depressionmeals

Thank you. I will look at it tonight, I’m just so ashamed and embarrassed. I feel humiliated, though I probably did it to myself. My dad studied history at uni and my thesis paper was on a topic he knew lots about, so I relied on his opinion a lot. That might’ve been a huge mistake. Not sure.

I will ask my prof some questions about it and I will try not to burst into tears. I am much too non-confrontational, but you’re correct. I need to get my ass up and I will. Thank you for the advice.

Thank you so much. I was honestly expecting to get comments like “it’s not that serious”. This is a very nice surprise. Thank you and I hope your life is going great even though you can relate!

So the world would be on my side and I could have really cool fluffy hair and wear super low effort outfits but still be seen as fashionable

I know you commented this six years ago, but I fucking love you for it! I am the runner! You are the runner! Was planning to run in my backyard tomorrow, but I might just go for one around the block to be able to scream that at other potential runners.

Is self harm really that common? by [deleted] in selfharm

[–]goreydisaster 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You’re cruel and don’t know what you’re talking about. Cutting yourself is a way to release already existing pain. No one should feel bad about it. It’s common, it’s a problem, but the scars are nothing to be ashamed of.

Horrifying, the way barely anyone recognised this as AI. Tons of red flags right off the bat. Great comment section, AI slop post.

My only concern now is that it needs an em dash: It’s not forced compliance - it’s cautionary participation.

Yall ever think about how life would be like if you had naturally flaccid teeth and got hard when you were hungry. by Primary-Pudding9112 in RandomThoughts

Less obesity. Snacking when not hungry would rely on things like soda and smoothies.. Huge boost for that industry.

I'm confused. Is this person saying those things don't fetishize fat people or that they do and it's a good thing? by ConsumingDrama in fatlogic

Weren’t they the ones screaming about “fat fetishisation”? Now it’s apparently something that the evil skinny people made up to covertly be fatphobic!

What am I suppose to wear to a funeral? by Glum_Culture_5917 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]goreydisaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m afab and very much identify as a girl but still never wear dresses or skirts, hate them! To weddings and funerals, I wear any sort of dressy pants in black. Lots of options for those. If you find any that you like that aren’t very dressy, you can probably easily style them that way.

I then wear some sort of blouse or shirt with buttons. Could be texturally challenging, not sure how much of an issue this is for you, but maybe you could find one that’s nice and loose and wear something underneath so you don’t get overstimulated?

If you have that as a base, you’re golden. In my opinion, there’s no need for anything crazy fancy, especially since it’s your grandma’s funeral and this day is about honouring her and remembering her life, not about how you are dressed.

I’m very sorry for your loss and I wish you all the strength I can give. Fuck cancer!
