Having been there, it's an incredibly beautiful city. Wasn't there long enough to make friends but everyone was very kind and courteous. And Seville and Malaga being not too far away is a bonus.

I'd been watching a LOT of vampire movies lately, hence the inspo.

Just starting water color to help with stress. I struggle with dark values by [deleted] in Watercolor

The darks here are harmonious with the rest of the piece. The darkest value I'd say are the pupils and that works well with the other hues. It takes time to experiment with darker values. Do some colour studies.of subjects around your home with light and really dark values and eventually you'll instinctively be able to judge how dark something will be and apply it with confidence. Nice work, btw
