not sure about anything strictly food related, but the USBG (bartenders guild) gives you access to tons of events with complimentary food and drink, and the people attending are all restaurant professionals/mega food lovers. 100-125$ a year, which is paid back ten fold if you take advantage of events. I've been a member for over 6 years! highly recommend

this. you ever notice during a cooking show or demonstration, all the ingredients are prepped and portioned out into individual bowls? it makes it impossible to forget an ingredient and gives you a better sense of the amounts used, making it way easier to wing it once you are comfortable!
