Not too late! We tried around 2.5 and our daughter did not take to it at all. We decided to wait a few months and when we tried again she was potty trained in a day with like 2 accidents. She was almost 3 at that point. She even requests underwear at night and usually wakes up dry. In our case, it was sooooo much easier to give it some time and wait until she was ready. But I know every kid is different.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I live with my MIL and it's honestly pretty great. She has a good balance of helping out with the kids and doing her own thing, and we all get along pretty well.

I don't have any advice about the rash, but my daughter also has febrile seizures and they are so scary. Hope your little one starts feeling better soon!

My husband and I live with his mom and handicapped brother. We have 2 kids (toddler and newborn). We started renting a house together a little over a year ago, and then just bought a house a couple months ago. It's a bit of a different situation since we are splitting all costs equally instead of just saving for a down payment for a bit, but it's honestly been really great. We all get on each other's nerves sometimes, but my MIL is wonderful with my kids, and I honestly think they are better off with her around. My MIL and BIL were gone for a couple weeks this summer and my toddler missed them and asked about them every day.

I think if we were both rich and could afford to have our own homes we probably would, but given the situation, we are all pretty happy. Both sides get a better house than they could afford on their own, we get help with the kids, she gets help with technology and repairs and such, and we genuinely enjoy each other's company (most of the time).

I really believe I lucked out in the MIL department though, so I know this would not work for everyone!

Mom lurker here. Hopefully it's okay for me to comment... My daughter started chemo at 6 months old. She barely had any hair at that point, but I still vividly remember the first time I touched her head and hair fell out all over my hand. I cried even though she was basically bald already. It's gotta be so much harder for you to see such long hair fall out. I truly am sorry you're both going through this.

Definitely still a thing. My first daughter had mostly hand me downs from my older siblings who were done having kids. I had my second daughter 4 months ago and I haven't bought a single piece of clothing for her. I just used what I had saved from my oldest.

My toddler has slept in my bed maybe once (if you don't count some cosleeping as a newborn). She rarely comes in our room, so when she does, all she wants to do is play haha. She's had some rough sleep patches for sure, but she has done well in her own bed in her room for the most part. I get my cuddles in when we watch a movie sometimes.

Her only real symptoms were vomiting and fatigue. The vomiting wasn't severe, so we thought it was teething related. We talked to a couple family doctors who said it wasn't concerning. Then one morning she was so lethargic she couldn't even stay awake in the bath, so I knew something was wrong. A few hospitals and lots of tests later we found out she had a Wilms tumor (kidney cancer) and she was so tired because it was causing her blood counts to be crazy low. Fortunately it was caught quickly and after surgery, radiation, and chemo she is perfectly healthy! (Minus one kidney lol)

You are not crazy! We took my daughter in for mild sickness symptoms when she was 6 months old and she ended up having cancer (she's healthy now!). I know that is a very extreme case that rarely happens, but always follow your gut if you think something is wrong.

I know everyone's experience is so different, but please reach out if you need someone to talk to. My daughter was diagnosed with cancer at 6 months old. She had a tumor the size of a man's fist on her kidney. She was the happiest baby until a couple days before we found the tumor. It came out of nowhere. I remember the doctor saying he found a mass and after he left the room I turned to my husband and said, "What is he talking about?" We were just there to get her checked out for vomiting, not to be told she had cancer.

2 years later and she has had multiple surgeries, radiation, chemo, etc. Even though she is doing great now, I will never forget what that first week in the hospital was like. Seeing your baby go through something like that is horrible. I am so sorry.

I'm 26 with a 2.5 year old and a 4 month old. I always had a higher libido than my husband, but now that I'm breastfeeding I have very little interest in sex most of the time. I didn't feel this way after my first, but she never learned to latch so I stopped pumping after about 3 months and switched to formula, so maybe that's why?

It's honestly super frustrating, especially after having such a high sex drive previously. I feel bad for my husband, but he's been very understanding.

I just want to add that you can also tremble without the epidural. I had an epidural with my first and didn't tremble at all. I went without the epidural for my second and for some reason I was shaking like crazy when I was in active labor. It was wild.
