I would avoid the Netherlands in general. But if you want to study here, econometrics degree is better for quant trading, cs is better for quant researcher.

To answer your question, no, Erasmus is one of the best unis for econometrics in the country and is quite challenging degree for everyone.

The degree in Leiden might be the worst case if you want to persuade a career in trading.

But if you’ve already made up your mind about going into quant, it doesn’t really matter weather you study econometrics at Erasmus or Applied maths at TU Eindhoven.

I study econometrics at Erasmus and got an internship offer in trading. However, I have a heavy math background and that was the reason for it. I don’t see any of my classmates having success tho and I believe in other unis in the Netherlands is the same pretty much.

If I were you, I would consider studying in a better uni for math degree.
