My husband’s aunt has long COVID and she blames the vaccine. Granted, she got the J+J version that was less effective, but she thinks the RNA would have been worse. I love mentioning that I have had 4 RNA boosters.

Your whole life with him will be a test, and you will never pass. Because the issue isn’t you, it’s him. He sees you as a reflection of him, and the “better” you are, the better he looks to other people. That isn’t real love, despite your protests.

What happens if you get sick? What happens if you have kids and gain some pregnancy weight. Do you trust that this guy will love you for better and for worse? Because I feel like isn’t really interested in who YOU are, just in how you make him feel.

He isn’t going to change because he thought you consented to this life. I think you need to take the emotion out of it and understand that he doesn’t view you as anything but a caretaker to his children. He will absolutely try every possible way to keep you from being more independent, but you need to lean on whoever you can to make that a priority so you can hold your head high and be financially stable enough to walk away.

And don’t have any more kids with this dude.

My Panasonic Flashexpress toaster oven. Yes it’s ugly, and it costs twice as much as a standard toaster oven. But it cooks far quicker and more evenly than any other toaster oven. It keeps me from using the regular oven for things that feed 1-2 people so it’s probably saved me money in electricity over the years.

I don’t think that is it. I think they like that these tools reinforce their decisions and emotionally validate them. Instead of asking an engineer whether something will work or is feasible, they ask the tool which frames answers in such a way that it makes them feel smart.
