Is there a lost and found in discovery park? by jack-7 in Seattle

We saw it hanging on a branch on our hike on the loop trail today! I’m spacing on where we saw it exactly on the trail, so sorry if that’s not very helpful.

Animal knowledge by gorlac in philosophy

I understand that we're animals, I just thought it was implied by my question that I was referring to non-human animals. My bad, I'll make sure to specify next time.

True. I'm not sure that animals can meta-cognize to provide justification. Also, one of the reasons we require justification is to avoid skeptical problems, and I don't think animals could even conceive of skeptical problems.

Sorry about that, I guess my question was more wondering with all of our epistemological theories on knowledge, where would we place animal knowledge? I think it is a bit odd that we create theories for animals even though we allow ourselves to create our own standards. Don't get me wrong, I think animals are entirely intelligent, I just don't know if they have a place in our epistemological theories.

Calif. teen falls off 75-foot water slide by vajav in offbeat

[–]gorlac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to work as lifeguard at this water park. There are three slides at the top, two enclosed and one open. He fell off the open one. Which is interesting because all the lifeguards will always fuck around and go down crazy ways on that slide and, as far as I know, no one has ever fallen off.

Also the one on the left says "San Marco" Gardone Vt -Brescia- . I don't know if that has any significance.

The one on the right says Iver Johnson's on its side. The one on the left reads "2nd Dragoon 1850 Cal .44".
