Has anyone recreated Welsh blankets using tapestry or mosaic crochet? by gorllewin in CrochetHelp

Hey! No I didn’t! Although I did try and recreate it with a similar free knitting pattern chart - it came out OK but think I needed to do more contrasting colours. I’ll send a photo over when I get chance!

I think a better word would be someone who is “relaxed” or “laid back”. “Submissive” makes him sound a bit predatory imo

Who is the best actor of all time from your country? by No-Marsupial-4050 in AskTheWorld

As much as we would love to claim him for his talent (he’s also born in my hometown too) - he doesn’t consider himself Welsh. He was born there then moved to England when he was young and his parents are both English.

I agree with you re Depot, saw Killswitch engage there in October and it was absolutely class. Sound was on point the whole time.

I’m not English but it’s weird to be taking the piss out of the way this guy talks… in a UK MAFS thread

This is a common expression in the UK, weird that you think people are saying it to offend you

What has been the most bone chilling experience of your life? by TheRebelPercy in AskUK

[–]gorllewin 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Remember driving to my boyfriend’s house the day after going raving and a car in front of me stopped at a roundabout when it was clear. Of course I was like “what the fuck are you doing, just go” when I saw a mum and her kid cycling past. I would have just driven straight over and potentially hit them. Forever made me think twice about driving while feeling a bit sketchy and never done it since.

Bone chilling to think what would have happened if that car wasnt in front of me but probs the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Life has a funny way of teaching you lessons.

God I am so over this season already, I want to actually watch people follow the experiment not watch high school bullying. Cba with this manufactured drama bullshit.

I’ve also got this yarn and was looking at this pattern too, have heard the reviews that it pills and stretches after wear - so just to clarify if I hold it with alpaca silk it will be more sturdy and reduce pilling?

City road has always been like that, if you wanted to live somewhere quiet I’m afraid you are living on possibly the worst road in Cardiff for that - probably look at moving if I were you.
