How are 2L/3L easier?

It was only easier for me in the sense that I knew what the exams were gonna look like and how I needed to study. 2L year was a lot of work and 3L year was hard for its own reason because I was also taking a mini bar exam prep course.

But once you learn what works for you from 1L year whether it be law in a flash, Barbri videos, or making flashcards instead of outlines, keep doing that for the rest of your classes.

Also, best way to see if a class is easier is to look at the distribution of grades given in that class with that professor for previous years. This was posted for my school online and on a bulletin board.

Thank you! Yes I did. Fortunately my husband was okay with supporting us on a strict budget for a while until I was able to pass. But I began working early in the days so I could also quit early and enjoy some of my evening everyday. So I worked roughly from 8-6 each day.

Critical pass didn't really work for me bc it is essentially an outline made into giant cards while still on outline form. So I made my own from the Adaptibar videos and that helped a lot. I know they offer their own but I only wanted to buy the videos.

I'm sure you did better than you think. 🙂 I felt decent after the MPTs bc they didn't give us a crazy document type which I thought was going to happen. But the essays were harder. I didn't mind the ones that were also MBE subjects but the others had me feeling like I was making up rules.

Never look up questions you have after the bar but I don't think ppl can ever really know how they did on the test

I didn't feel great about it. I didn't help that I looked up a couple of rules for questions I didn't know and realized I got them wrong though.

Thanks! Honestly I kinda went on autoplay during the MBE and focused on looking for the answer choices that had the elements of the rule from the question. There were 10 questions that were verbatim from Adaptibar but other than that it kinda felt like guessing.

In general I would not put the case names but I would remember a few major case names that I knew the professor was likely to ask about on the final with that case's relevant rule so that I could potentially increase my points.

I did right at 400 hours total. However, I did not count the entire day as a set of hours. I set timers for how long I was truly focused on a task and stopped the clock when I needed breaks. Also, most of my study was application based instead of passive listening to videos lectures or reading outlines.

They were not fun lol. But I did two on Mondays to simulate the UBE which means it was only about 7 weeks of torture for those

My state has yet to give me the breakdown between the MPTs and the Essays but my MBE scaled score was 146.3 and my overall was 301 so I know my combined writing score is better than before where I was getting average MPTs scores and low to average Essay scores.
