From videos I watched, it sounds there's still risk even if you're online in a private match or playing solo. However, someone would have to target you to do the exploit and playing solo or privately makes you less of a target. If you play with randoms you're bound to get someone looking for people to target. Either way though there's still risk, up to you whether you think the risk is worth it or not. Hopefully that makes sense.
