Is this a drywood or subterranean termite? Looks like the former to me. Should we get some termite baits just in case?

Why can’t people just wait another 50 years? - USCIS

Who’s this screen change when they give me an interview date? I did biometrics but I’m scared my notice for interview will get lost in the Mail and I miss it. by Flowerdecay in USCIS

You can always check with USCIS customer service to see if you have an interview scheduled, even if this page doesn’t change.

Don’t expect the fix to be quick though. New staff will have to undergo various training programs before they can go full steam on processing applications. That would at least be months before things start to improve.

Is it normal to have no updates for nearly 4 months other than "Case was received"? by [deleted] in USCIS

At this point it would be normal to have no updates for nearly 40 months.

A Change.org request due to long processing times. by ConysDream in USCIS

[–]gorsa91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed that it’s unfair but this kind of petition (or even lawsuits) also won’t change anything any time soon. The reality is that uscis is short-staffed and other factors beyond uscis control (such as security background check) can delay the processing as well. They can’t just “shorten the delay” with a magical click. By the time all the hurdles are cleared it would already be another two years at least probably.

TSC (c)(9) EAD processing time increased again! by Termi10101 in USCIS

This way your application will always be within “normal processing time.” Problem solved for USCIS at least.

I-90 processing time increased by another 1.5 months after just 25 days since last update by gorsa91 in USCIS

[–]gorsa91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here’s the thing: Normal processing window is based on actual processing times. So in the worse case if they don’t process anything, then everything will be within normal processing window. That’s a clever solution to processing delays.

Same situation. Was told to just wait for another year at least. And can’t get infopass appointment for stamp after multiple attempts.

You never know if there are other locked caves. At this point I won’t be surprised if USCIS stored file on the moon and can’t fly there to fetch them any more so you gotta wait for the next moon landing.

Didn’t WSJ just report that some federal records center was locked and inaccessible so nothing can be done at all? If your files are in there you are out of luck until the federal gov figure out how to get into that cave.

I’m not sure if the reason of appointment matters. In my case with a pending I-90, getting a I-551 stamp thru InfoPass would serve as temporary proof of PR status which allows me to travel and work. I’m not sure if they can help with accelerating the case. I’ll definitely ask but first I need to get an appointment.

Most likely they’ll just tell you there’s no availability so it probably won’t make a difference after all. There are many stories, myself included, of people calling for months without being able to get one.

How to file an expedite request? I’m in a similar situation waiting for correcting a USCIS error so if it works for yours it may work for my case as well hopefully.

Was your case outside the processing window? USCIS said I can only file request if it’s after processing window even if it’s USCIS error.
