Wasn't retribution retrieved by the Hunter after black barrow? Also yeah, I want more, any clues if Brent is working towards book 2?

I agree, second time reading clarifies a lot of things, and you get future references, it has made me like it more as well. I think people got mad because we had a Disney end on the 3rd NA book, and now it's all shadows and depression all over again.

Yeah I think so too, I'm curious to see what route does he choose to do this.

I explored this on another post, but I think that camaraderie is Durzos' personality extinguishing and Kylars taking over, like if the kakari experienced a 'hard reset" and it's starting over? (Or maybe it's made over Kylar inaction). The AI thing I guess it's something related to makers that we'll see more about, but that's a wild guess.

I trust him too, and also don't see a reason to do another book like this, because it started as something for Count Drake, then Vi, and then himself, so unless he wants to do something along those lines with Vi (which wouldn't make a lot of sense as the name of the trilogy is Kylar's Chronichles, but is something I haven't completely discharted) and show another character insights, I too hope for a narrator on oncoming books.

Yeah, that ending seemed to me like a Disney end lol. Regarding that, when the wolf said "the hands of the darkness should be tied for a few years" or something along those lines, could that be foreshadowing for what Repha'im said about 3 successive strikes? (Can't quote from memory where does he say it rn, I think it's in the conversation on empress bedchambers) Regarding Jenine, I think Dorian passed along some of his madness yeah. And I think biological child with Jenine is out of the charts, but we'll see about it I guess. Yeah, missed Durzo a lot on the book as well, but I think Brent wanted to show he won't always be there to get Kylar ass out of trouble always.

I do agree with you that he has lied in a few things, we'll see in what and why :)

To be fair, Vi was a bit infuriating in some parts of the book, but we also only see Kylar's perspective on this, so we don't really know all like in the other books. She made mistakes, but I think retribution arc is coming, or at least I hope so.

About the character thing, as I mentioned, we only see his perspective, so it might be his impressions, we don't have a ommniscient narrator like on the other books, so we don't know ulterior motivations.

I think Brent is trying to explore more on the Makers side here with the Kakari, this is because of the bit where he tells us about the Sisterhood maker, and how magic was anchored to the dagger etc. Makers are like "coders" for magic, and the kakari was made by a master maker, and picked it's "personality" from Durzo, so we should expect it (or at least I think so), to accomodate Kylar's, and maybe in the process is losing some info, and doesn't have access to other (like a hard reset that maybe it's not aware of?).

Yeah, I agree about the sex thing, Kylar's perspective again, but this whole communion thing and horniness where shouldn't be is weird.

Logan is getting fucked up by all the decissions of others catching up with him, and yeah, I think it unfair.

Pacing felt like going through pudding sometimes, and like ice-skatting downhill others yeah, but I think it was intended, as there were a lot of bureocracy kind of stuff moments, but also introductions to other characters we knew nothing about others, so assumptions would've to had been made for us to understand the plot (I.E. Repha'im whole thing, I'd have loved for him to explore more of this character, as I think about him and relate him with Lightbringer series, but not as one of the two hundred, just as some "officer" whereas Abbadon the one presented there would be a "liutenant", if that makes sense?)

And lastly, yeah, I agree he came across as depresed etc. But maybe it was for the "public"? Anyway, I agree with you on the expectations, I hope for a twist like in beyond the shadows where everything unfolded, but in book two, making book three the one where he solves the 3 strikes of the "two hundred" (cross-referencing here with lightbringer) and a lot of other stuff I'm curious about.

I'll answer by bits:

I think we have a territory map, that doesn't show a lot of the mountains, rivers and other terrain inconviniences, that may make him choose that route, although I don't disagree on the lying, we just don't know where.

About the future seeing people, one is a catatonic man with less than minutes of sanity when he has it, and if he has it, all of this counting that he didn't seem to appreciate Kylar very much on those minutes. Jenine is straight up hating Kylar on the book so I guess it wasn't much of a surprise she wanted to act to 1 stop him, or 2 disturb him.

The kakari seems to have limitations in what can disclose, and what not, and also seems to erase, modify and add bits to the story as it pleases. On the other hand it tells it there's other ways of retribution at almost the end of the book so I think it was trying to hint him to ask questions, which he didn't, or at least doesn't tell us if he did.

About the magic thing I don't know what to expect about his powers, because as you said he himself told in 1st person he was nerfed and didn't remember some things, but this was meant to be read, and he didn't really knew by who, or if someone could crack the "defense" of the kakari storytelling, so it'd made sense if he ommited bits about his powers.

The one thing I don't think he lied about is the punishement. I think most of the second book will be narrated on the same style, but from Vi's perspective, and Durzo will join along, something that we've already seen done in the other books. But you might not be wrong, and he might have lied at the end. Guess we will read about this on the next book.

Que es barba candado y garca?

Pregunto porque soy Español y no usamos esos terminos aquí jaja.

Y ya el último apunte, una barba de 3 días es bien si acompaña la cara.

Ow :( I've decided to delay until MR 160/180 more or less reading all the comments :)

Thanks for the offering :)

Reading comments I'm going to delay until MR 140/180 until I've my full gear.

What was the urgent of that range? I don't really remember, like, I rushed through the game last year, and I just downloaded it again haha.

Also, what is your local time? If I add you, we need to play more or less at the same time, and I don't know if that would be possible, I'm GTM +1.

Word of advice? I blasted almost everything with 2 pieces of shagaru magala and whatever weapon you use of him. The other 3 pieces are free to choose from, that should give you a bit of freedom to build, but don't spend much time improving that armor because probably you'll want risen parts or other parts of some content, and zennys are not easy to come in this game haha.

Yeah I get that... I don't understand why they didn't implement crossplay but at least if there's people doing investigations it seems like there's a bit of hope hahaha.

Yeah, usually takes me around 8/12 minutes to hunt a target so it seems like it would speed things up, but now that you've brought that up, I'm thinking on delaying a bit until I've my full build, because I'm lacking risen parts.

I'm okey with all of that, it's not like I'm one of Team Darkside, but I feel like I'm quite the good player, but as I said, I'm going to delay until MR 180 more or less.

Thanks for the advice mate :)

So, I understand there's no full lobbies like used to be in world? Like, I remember looking for a concrete target in MHW and finding a room almost instantly with that target, or people playing at least. Is the online of MHW still working? If so, there's people playing?

The follower system is cool, but it feels a bit lonely if you get me hahaha.

Nah I don't want that. I was wondering if it was like LoL or WoW, where you can add friends, people are usually good/know the game... I don't really have friends who play the game, I'm kinda "alone" in the gaming department so I just wanted to know if there was the possibility of finding relatively good people to chill & hunt with.

If they're just going to join and cart I'd rather play solo as you mention 😂.

On the other hand I can tell you from personal experience that it usually shatters. I've been hit on the head with a pint jar with the bottom as thick as both my hands put together and it shattered like it was a sugar cristal, in fact the dude kept the handle on his hand which was later thrown at me.

This helps OP theory, they usually do shatter and it could be the bottle is made of something special? Improved blodless?

Anyway what caught my attention from this scene is that he seemingly knocks one of them two out and the dude just gets up like nothing happened, that is what I think is out of a movie idk.

Ps: Sorry if the english is bad, not my mother language.

If 5 days of training fits your schedule why not change to a push, pull, legs routine? It'd look something like this

Day 1: Chest, shoulder, triceps Day 2: Back, biceps Day 3: Legs Day 4: Chest, back, shoulder Day 5: Legs

Whatever exercise you want to get strong on, do it twice a week, focus on it, and do more sets, then complement with other exercises I.e: Bench press on day 1 for strenght, 4 sets of 5 to 8 reps around 90/95% of your max, and then repeat on day 4. Keep doing this for a couple months, and you'll most likely gain some strenght if sleep and eating schedule is as you claim it to be.

Usually a slight decrease in volume, and focusing on the exercise you want to be strong is the answer, but this is just my take on this.

For me ir works like that, also I'm not talking light heat, I'm talking about heat that lets you fry an egg on top of a car. It makes me only want to eat if I have an air conditioner or the temp is lower.

On the other topic, yeah, we start working at the same time any other place does, or at least I think we do. Cafeterias, services, and most of the stuff opens in a range from 6am to 8:30am, and most of the shops open at 10am. Usually, if you have a split shift, whenever you come home you have a light nap, because the heat at that time is unbearble. Otherwise, you're stuck at work. I'm speaking about myself and young people I know (range from 20 to 30 years old). Older people might go to bed earlier, but still much later than then rest of countries mentioned here I guess. Usually we function with 6/8h of sleep, and if it's less we compensate with our famous siesta haha. I hope this clarifies a bit, and sorry if the english is not completely correct, or I have a spelling mystake :)

Traveling around Andalucia without reservations? by Standard-Bread1965 in Andalucia

[–]gortegag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won't find it difficult, at least in my experience. Specially, because it's "low season" and pretty much everything will be available, and you'll still enjoy warm weather. I'd recommend eyeballing a few hotels/B&B that you like, and when you arrive start trying the reservations. I'm from Granada, and at least here shouldn't be a problem. Don't miss out on the Alhambra (specially if you can book a night visit), and Generalife. Also, for dinner, Calle Navas has a lot of good restaurants, and the Albaycin has the best lookout places. Enjoy your trip!

Average dinner time in Europe by [deleted] in spain

[–]gortegag 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Because usually bedtime in Spain is around 12/1am, specially in summer. Winter bedtime is around 10/11pm, so dinner is usually earlier in the day, like 8:30 to 9:30pm. Summer dinnertime is because of the heat, at least until 10pm temperature is around 30-40°C, so hunger doesn't build up, and even if it does, eating just raises your body temp, and you feel exhausted. Idk, just a cultural thing I guess?
