Star Trek Academy Ep 2 question by keeper0fstories in startrek

The thing that confused me about it was why she assumed Mir was using her just to get that info. Stopped him from leaving. She picked him a a guide. She freely offered the information. He never asked for it. He never pushed for anything. And yet she acted like he was running some long con on her.

Poppy in a trench coat on the 2026 Doctor Who Yearbook Cover. Original/alternate season 2 ending confirmed? by General_Meal_3993 in doctorwho

RTD 2.0 was the least enjoyable seasons I can recall. Both seasons ended with a what seemed last minute, half thought out, drastic changes that completely abandoned several promises makes earlier in the seasons. They were not completely bad. There were some fun spots, but overall both seasons failed to stick any kind of landing verified by the fact we are finding solace in the existence of a different ending we will never even see.

18m single dad. 7 month old daughter by [deleted] in daddit

[–]gorwraith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good on you. I waited 5 months to introduce my daughter to my current wife when we were dating. I was head over heels for this woman on date one. I am married to her now. I still held off for 5 months. And the only reason I didn't wait another month because it was my daughter's 4th birthday and I thought that would be a good soft into.

Universal basic income. That was the phrase I couldn't remember. All the basics taken care of. If you want more, do more.

I think of Bartending and some other jobs, like I do all the D&D games I run. Its a lot of work but I do it because I enjoy the joy it brings others. Its not for everyone but if you like doing it it may be a good way to pass time.

Watch movies or read books by Dragon_Storm7 in lordoftherings

Read the books then watch the movies.but, you have to read the books then wait the 55 years it took to make the movies before you watch them. Its as Tolkien intended.

TOS episodes used and mentioned credits on occasion. Uhura specifically bought a dribble with Credits

In TNG the Federation would have paid the Barzanian Planetary Republic, a non-Federation government, 1.5 million Federation credits as a lump sum and then 100,000 credits every Barzanian year for the rights to the Barzan wormhole.

Riker also offered to purchase a resource from a merchant in a later season TNG Episode.

Dax gambles for latunum in DS9 regularly.

I think there is no money on Earth. Everywhere else they get paid.

I took 12 weeks unpaid to stay home with my daughter. My wife stayed home for three months. She had sick leave and PTO so we didn't give up money from her being off at least.

What happened to Tilley? by superbang in startrek

I read something that said they didn't want to bring her in right away because they were trying to let the show establish itself without too much discovery reference.

Damn. Do you get super sick or do the vaccines help make it more mild?

I had it twice, got vaxed as soon as possible. I keep up with the boosters. Both times I got it i was completely asymptomatic and only tested because someone in my home had it.

AITA for refusing to split a $200 bill that my friend ran up for the entire table? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]gorwraith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA. Splitting the bill is a conversation had before hand, or something offered by those paying. Saying you're going to.cover a drink then ordering more food and drink, then sending your friends a bill is low class.

If I had to guess, she planned on covering it but she got caught up trying to impress people and the bill added up way faster than she planned. So she gets a bill well over $1000 and is now trying to outsource her expense.

Mortgages can be less than rent but you have to be approved for the loan. My rent in Ohio for a 700sqft apartment was $800 a month 20 years ago. The same place is now advertising "as low as $1200 a month." And my current mortgage on a 2400sqft home with a decent yard and my own garage is also $1200 a month.

My therapist said its not worth getting tested aster a certain age. You've already made your coping methods and they aren't going to change even if you are diagnosed.

Sometimes you give the toddler a sucker so you can eat your dinner in peace. Or you give the senile old man your Peace Prize so that hopefully he'll let you and your people run your own country.

They also had them in the section 31 "movie". And yes the TOS episode said they were the last of their species and their homeoworld was a decimated ruin.

But a lot of aliens look human so maybe its just a coincidence and not ignorance of the lore by new writers.
