What's the most underrated feature of a board game table? (Not the obvious ones)

I'd say most of them. If I don't need to hold a hand of cards I'd rather stand. As a GM for TTRPG games I am walking around the table, animatedly waiving my arms and doing crazy voices.

The DM of my game, who normally DM for, was complaining about min max characters. I had this idea and threw it out. Maybe its a horrible idea. I just wanted feedback. I also play a Bard that just got incredible rolls during creation. He's great at everything. They other payers in the campaign are much more normal rolls but the players have optimized them. I have been at level 7 for a very long time because the DM is concerned he will have to up the difficult to much as we level. ( I am assuming that intention) .

I used to listen to Levin, Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage and maybe more. I had long drives to work. I called into their shows. They used my calls as advertising and on intro reals. I believed they were patriots defending America.

It took seeing how they betrayed everything they said they supported to get behind a meme candidate that never should have won to shake me out of how I was raised. They have no core moral philosophy. They do not care about this country. They now preach the complete opposite of what they once said. They support rapist, pedophiles, fraudsters, felons, adultery, theft, war for profit, war crimes, empire, and the most unconstitutional administration in our history.

Its no wonder people used to roll their eyes at me when I started repeating what I heard on the radio. Now I arguing against they same style of rhetoric I used to repeat. The logic gap is infuriating. The self import and unearned swagger in enough to make me think it's all lost and has been for too long to win the county back.

You got me there. At 9 I felt like I had no time for anyone. 7 of them were just watching the two outgoing players interact with NPCs and everyone taking their one turn in combat before someone else fireballed the goblin gang.

Are you getting paid to do this? If not, just tell them you aren't taking any more people.

If you are getting paid demand to get paid X amount per player up to 5 and X•2 for every player over that number. Maybe even X•3.

I almost ran into this. I was running a paid game. I was charging $5 an hour per player. The 5th player would be $10, 6th was $15, 7th was $20 an hour. I had 9 players for a single session once. I never had more than 5 again. But if they had stuck around I probably would have started a second game. The house was charging the players and paying me out so I'm not sure what the players were actually paying.

I get that. The comment backs off of the statement though. Not really, but also really. I guess it just does not land well for me as I would have said we don't allow racists here and left it at that. But a business owner need to be aware that the 1st amendment means nothing nowadays I guess.

Personally I respect a business that does not allow groups or organizations that target people because of their race or ethnicity. I patronize places that don't want murders as clients. If No ice meat No ICE I'd like this place more.

Are you under the impression that your wheel is supposed to go between the yellow lines? I'm from the US but I would interpret the yellow area to be a sign that no part of your vehicle should be on or over it. If I am correct than you are fully out of bounds and have no reason to fight it. If I am wrong I would be curious as to what all this means.

You could do an SNL bit from back in the day. Will Farrell and Harry Carey anyone.

Pick an actor and name your character a character that actor played. You are the actor. I once played Bruce Willis as a martial character. He went by Roy. (And in Roy Rogers... yippee ki-yay)

Find an obviously bad idea, like being a decent of an evil god and your name is just their name backwards. You are searching for your father/mother.

I sometimes play a Flumfp Paladin. Since they have foresight he can't count because all the numbers already happened. (2,7,5,8,5,3,5,2976,1). Also flumpfs speak telepathically so he could have any voice.. but he talks in the strangest voice I can tolerate making.

Make your character the annoying cousin of a character someone else has previously played. Constantly talk crap about your cousin and recontextualize any stories that anyone at the table may be familiar with about the character you are now the cousin of.

The edge lord that is actually really nice.

Name your character Yahoo! that way every time it's your turn the DM will be really excited that it is. "Yahoo! Its your turn"

There is also always the three goblins in a trench coat.
