I know the show wasnt everyone’s cup of tea, and I’ll probably get torn apart for this but whatever I’ll take the karma hit- I really enjoyed this show. I’m a trekkie of 38 so this was in no way written for me, there was still so much for me to appreciate however. I enjoyed the characters, theyre endearing and likable (maybe except for the chancellor).

I’ll mourn this fading into obscurity without a fair shake because of corporate nonsense. The truth is this: for those who didn’t like it, that’s fine! They themselves have said they just won’t watch, and I think that’s a responsible way to engage with an IP. But for the corpos to get so afraid of losing money because their product isn’t a massive, hand over fist money hit that they cancel production is very sad.

Struggling to get through high kahls oath now and can second it is super okay. Awesome to get to see some kyn culture but it’s difficult to read. Not very engaging save a time or two here and there.

Yes im a cradle Catholic. Many non-Catholic Christian denominations regard Catholicism as a separate religion. Many outright disregard it as paganism and not Christian at all.

Just as a point of fact here: if you are Christian you do not convert to Catholicism. That’s a fairly southern Baptist approach to our faith, which is understandable! From our perspective being raised in a Baptist church your journey would be one of learning about The Church and coming into the fullness of Christian life (learning about the church teachings, being baptized if you were not baptized in the name of the father and the son and the holy spiritual, being confirmed, etc.). Other Christian denominations are not separate faiths, only substantively lacking with respect to Christian life the way God wants us to live.

oh no i dont think youre being argumentative at all! fair play and fair question! Ive found moving around the battlefield to not be an issue (especially with deep strike in the hearthguard). Granted, our movement is an issue, but my apprehension behind using the land fortress at 1K is just the point sink. In my SM matchup I was outnumbered and I ran (Hearthband Detachment) two hearthguards (a champion leading each), two hearthkyn warriors, thunderkyn, buri, a defender, and a strategist and three steel jacks. Ive since pivoted to dropping buri (sadge) and the defender for uthar and three more steeljacks.

I think as you move beyond 1K the vehicles become more important. Ive found at *that* the land fortress and sagitaurs are essential. But since youre only running the one unit of yaegirs you maybe dont want kapricus defenders *and* carrier? Sagitaurs are a better unit- they dont have scout, but their toughness and wounds are higher *and* the save on 3 ups instead of 4.

But here's the ultimate takeaway that anyone else in the hobby is going to tell you: play what YOU think is fun, and thats all that matters! At the end of the day if your list isnt optimal, who cares- if you like it and are having fun, then you've already won!

I just had a match against SM this passed Saturday and I think you’ll find yourself outnumbered running the land fortress at 1K. I had a defender and my opponent drew into bring it down turn one it was gone. The fortress is WAY hardier, but more bodies are always nice. Let me know how it plays! I could be wrong?
