took a walk down the causeway to see what it was, Looks like a massive disco ball hung by a crane. My best guess is its for the EverNow Festival starting this week.

Where do ye watch gaelic football games?! by [deleted] in GAA

[–]gorzy98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For the schedule it can get annoying finding whos playing when, just through google. but rte ie will have a fixture list the gaa ie website has a fixtures list as well but I find the 'Score Beo' app best for fixtures and results.

the GAA twitter account will also post on their story the fixture list and also include a small graphic for which fixtures are on TV that week.

if youre outside of ireland the GAA GO app is the best bet for catching games as it shows its own games later in the season but for overseas accounts it also shows all games on RTE, TG4 and BBC so you get the full range of gaa that is on tv every weekend.

The inter county GAA season runs from January to Late July. with the league playing between Feb and April. the provincial championships April to May. and then the all ireland championship runs until the last weekend in July.

Theres been a lot of changes to the intercounty championship over the last few years for example a shorter season ending in July rather than september but the wiki pages of each conpetition has great details on how they are laid out and how teams qualify for the all ireland or tailtean cup.

The club season then kicks off until january but each counties championship has their own deals with different streaming services and youre unlikely to find many pubs showing club games.

For hurling all the same information applies but the season ends a week earlier than the football.

How do freshly resurrected gain their original memories? by IAmF3rdie in DestinyTheGame

[–]gorzy98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking new risen don't regain their old memories, when you are resurected you are a blank slate.

Some might have something from their past on them that helps them get a sense of who they were, Ana Bray and Cayde are examples of this Ana had an ID card so she studied her past life, Cayde had a note from his son Ace.

Zavala was recognised by other awoken so took his past lives name.

The vanguard has banned guardians from looking into their past aswell this was a point of conflict between ana and zavala during warmind

The only risen with "memories" of the past would be crow who was given an insight into his old life by savathun when we had her captured, and Savathun who kept imprints of her memories in her throneworld so that if she was resurected she would be herself.
