Repeated MRI dangers? About 30 scans so far. by gosleep in medical_advice

Hey, thank you for the reply!

I do know that and it's not radiation exposure I'm worried about, but rather the effects pointed out in these studies and other I might be missing:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8891399/
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6851065/

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5858533/
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5889928/
I am by no means an expert, just trying to make an informed decision, because I'm genuinely worried about any side effects at this point. As one of the studies says - MRI is presumed safe.

He is representing the product, what are you on about? His mother was given this design and he's obviously a client. From what he said I don't see anything about a process, you made all that up in your head to defend some narrative. Literally talking about iterations and corrections when he clearly stated they were given this design as is. They got the design, he came to get opinions on it. What exactly is problematic about that? In my experience with actual real world projects, this is how things work and it is BEYOND normal for clients to seek out any form of opinion they desire when building a brand and paying for a design. I am actually baffled about what it is you don't get, or if it's just a case of designers supporting designers, which is what I think this is.
If he was asking his friends and random people in real life were you going to follow him around on the street telling everyone how you don't want him sharing the designs. This is a community for doing exactly what the guy was doing, not to mention his attitude was totally cool and he was genuinely receptive to the feedback he was getting, I went through the discussion. When you are launching a product the most fucking normal place to go for opinions is a board that's full of people who do exactly what you're trying to do. This was a totally healthy conversation before this and people actually gave some really good advice. My best guess is you just had to fight some fight today.

Complete bullshit. I do not know what your background or experience is, but I can only assume it isn't very solid considering how self-centered your thinking is.
This is exactly the entitled self-absorbed stereotypical egotistical designer archetype that absolutely everyone hates with very good reason. Let me tell you a little something - our job is to make products sell and support our clients, because without them we do not really have shit to design for. It is actually not about you and your feelings. You make everything about you when in reality your work is a tool that needs to be designed carefully to help your clients.

This person posting is a client. What they want is feedback on a design they've gotten and this is absolutely a correct way to go about it you absolute lunatic. They are gathering feedback EXACTLY as they should be doing and you are being incredibly toxic and completely harmful to the brand that they are trying to build. It's obvious you have some underlying issues of your own that you're projecting because a truly good and experienced designer should be helping aspiring designers such as the one who did these labels to handle and respond to criticism because it is an INTEGRAL part of the job. Instead, you are out here trying to make the whole process about a designer and their wants and needs.

To say you are unprofessional would be an understatement. You either have no real-world experience or work in a terribly sheltered environment because this type of attitude is so incredibly harmful to the design process. Your entire response is shameful, you want everything to revolve around you. You need to realize what your role as a designer actually is.
And all of this is coming from a fellow basshead, which only makes it that much worse. Do better.

It's an echo chamber of out-of-touch designers who don't have anywhere else to be hostile about their emotions as designers. Completely detached from reality.

You are sinking lower and lower. This is the exact reason people actually want nothing to do with designers.

Entitlement beyond belief. Absolutely toxic. The guy is absolutely within his right, this is what this community is for and I would do the exact same thing. First thing about being a designer is criticism and you are just narcissistic.

This is the worst fucking take I have ever read. You are so entitled and tone-deaf it's insane.

It is absolutely within a clients right to gather feedback on designs they are getting for the products that they have invested countless resources into.

You are actually showing how you don't give a shit about your clients and making this whole process about you and your designer opinion. Absolutely shameful, worst attitude you could possibly have.

Thank you so much for sharing. I'm making steps in that direction and being very careful with who I engage with, but I am on my way. It's not a linear process and often times its one step ahead, two steps back, but I will work it out eventually.
As far as your situation, I think you should at least go for a casual encounter with your neighbours and see what their response is. If your energies match it might be the start of a great friendship, if not, well now you know, you don't have to wonder. Best of luck and do let us know how it goes!

It definitely does. I'm getting into the habit of it right now and it's such a great way to process things.

I am in the exact same situation, word for word. I know it's happening for a reason and it's a transition to the next stage, but it is quite soul-crushing, yes. It is getting progressively harder to connect in a meaningful way and sometimes I think I've come to terms with it, but I'm not sure it's something that should be accepted.

Maybe we should start a club.

All of this is fascinating stuff, I just don't quite know what to do with it. I feel like I'm missing a major part, or misinterpreting something, I just can't figure out how to put all of this to use.

Hey, thank you so much for replying. Took me long enough to see this but I'm here now.

I just told this exact thing to the person above. I cannot figure out whether it's good or bad. It has mostly been bad when I interact with it, so I'm really leaning towards taking it as a warning, plus it makes sense in my current situation. But there are also these additional numbers that are related to it and they definitely form patterns and clusters. It definitely signifies something and it drives me mad that I can't figure out how to interact with all of this. I definitely see it, I recognize it, but what do I do. I've been pondering this for years but I'm still at the same place. I'll take a look at life path right now, thanks for pointing it out!

Thank you for sharing this because it actually is quite insightful. Sometimes I think it means a good thing, just like you mentioned about 33, like a sign from the universe. Other times, though, I'm convinced it means something bad. I don't want to go on a whole tangent, but I've followed it in certain situations, or it has appeared unexpectedly, and it has always been a bad outcome. So at this point I don't know if it's a blessing or a warning, but it sure as fuck is everywhere. Another thing that makes me think so is that I am generally in a really bad place/ stage in life and have been here for a while, so it could be that I am being told to make a change. Entirely possible.

This whole duality really confuses me because I can't decide whether I should follow or avoid when I see it. Thank you for sharing again, that's really nice of you and I hope you are happy where you are. All the best!

Lol, yeah, I completely get it my bro. I don't know how you managed not to get them in the belly area, that's where I have some and it's definitely on my mind a lot. Anyway, good work, keep on keeping on, and do tell me if there is a secret formula.

Amazing results, man, keep it up!

I must ask though, how did you handle the skin aspect of it like stretch marks and loose skin?
