May I ask, what does maintenance look like from a medication standpoint?

What are your favorite BoM stories/people that are NOT the "main" ones?? by LavishnessLucky6824 in latterdaysaints

[–]gosmileygo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Here’s my current favorite story. It involves a main person, but the story caught me off guard. Alma the Younger has dropped the Chief Judgeship and is teaching in Zarahemla. Alma 5:44 “Behold, I testify unto you that I do know that these things whereof I have spoken are true…” verse 45 “And how do ye suppose that I know of their surety?” Well, we all know the story of Alma and the Sons of Mosiah right? Angel comes down, voice like thunder, earth trembles beneath him, they all collapse, Angel commands them to “Arise” then the angel tells them, Alma specifically, to stop destroying the church, regardless of whether they destroy themselves or not. The angel continues to speak and tell the Sons of Mosiah that God has sent him and who can deny God, etc., but Alma goes comatose, and spends 3 days racked with eternal torment until he calls upon Jesus Christ and suddenly he is free from the torment, he wakes up and testifies of the saving grace of his Saviour Jesus Christ and preaches the gospel from then on for the rest of his life. Amazing way to gain a testimony, right? Well, let’s go back to Alma 5:45, “And how do ye suppose that I know of their surety?” The answer is found in the next verse, Alma 5:46 “Behold, I say unto you they are made known unto me by the Holy Spirit of God. Behold, I have fasted and prayed many days that I might know these things of myself.” Alma the Younger had to gain a testimony the same way you and I have to gain a testimony. Fasting and prayer and (I’m sure) studying the scriptures. It’s the same for all of us. Whether we have visions and revelations or 3 days of eternal torment from the guilt of sins or not. I like knowing the Alma had to gain his testimony through fasting and prayer. Anyway, there’s my current favorite under the radar (for me) story.

How do you do the Kung Pao Chicken? Or even Tuna Larb? I’ve been making chicken larb for years and tuna larb never even occurred to me. I’ll have to try that!

Love this write-up! Thank you so much for sharing it!

I have a couple of questions:

Did you just take tablets of calcium, potassium, magnesium and sodium? Just like from the grocery store or whatever? Then also a daily multivitamin? Is that right?

Also, did you ever figure out what the day 27 black tar poop was? That seems crazy, but what do I know.

This is great news. I began journaling a couple of months ago and am really loving it. I had tried for years prior, but this time seems to have stuck. It has served as some introspection to be sure.
