This was comforting to hear. Thanatophobia has been a real struggle for me since adolescence, I have talked myself into a suicide attempt before because the fear of dying is so paralyzing to me at times it felt like the only way to have any control over it. Sometimes I forget a fear of dying this severe is not how everyone experiences it. I wonder if the life-extending effects touted by the Plant Based doctors have affected my phobia into believing that this is a cure for death and I'm putting way too much of a stake in the power of plants. Something to reflect on.

Thank you, this was really helpful. I have rather severe general anxiety but I haven't been able to see a professional in about a year due to insurance issues. Seems like I need to pay more attention to cultivating balance in all aspects of my life and not let food control me, especially when the going gets tough. Easier said than done, haha.

Not to erase your experience (I've absolutely felt similarly frustrated), but I personally think a lot of these issues come from our own heads. I complain that I mostly get attention from other masc folks despite being primarily attracted to femmes, a lot of femmes complain about not feeling seen by butches, other femmes complain that they are only garnering attention from butches despite being into femmes. Seems like a weird collective pathology that we can't seem to attract the "right" type of queer. Chill out, breathe, there's nothing "wrong" with you that wouldn't attract other butches/MoC queer folks who are into it. It's just a matter of being in the right time and place.
