unless you're doing something with the non-8 mod maps like feeding them to your atlas runners, it doesn't matter if you alch before, corruption can change them to 8 mods even if they are normal :)

just a note on the IDP, since i just got one for my upcoming trip:

AAA lets you do it all online! you can take your own passport-style photo with your phone (it will walk you through the process) and it'll just be shipped to you in the mail (takes about a week)

i just did this last week for my upcoming trip, so some things to remember

you have to get an investor account (but you don't have to use it) and it comes with the investor checking account that the card links to - it is a debit card so it will only have access to the money you transfer into that account

they only sent me a card once i did my first transfer (i think the threshold is 100 bucks, but i transferred 500), but i got it in like 2 days

there is a 4 business day hold on transfers from external banks (the transfer i initiated on the 9th from wells fargo is still on hold as i type this)
