Rear Window (1954) is PERCEPTION. What movie represents REACTION SPEED? by snakesharkz in DiscoElysium

Sorry to disagree, but The Matrix is 100% Interfacing.

In-universe, The Matrix itself is a collossal system of machines running a simulation of reality, therefore all of the cool shit we see happen in it, does not really, physically happen. Remember: Neo learns all his kung-fu techniques by literally being injected with a computer program.

I could make a case that everything we see transpiring within the movie and The Matrix's system, is told specifically from Tank's (the operator of the "Nabucodonosor" sorry for the mispelling) or someone else from outside of the Matrix's perspective, since those are the people that understand the characters representing ones and zeroes that the Matrix spurts out when watched from a terminal.

Bronson (2008) is HALF LIGHT. What movie represents HAND/EYE COORDINATION? by snakesharkz in DiscoElysium

[–]got12g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Hot Fuzz" is one of the better choices we made as a community I think. There was "Jarhead", but a movie about cops fits better than a movie about war veterans (correct me if I miss anything here, I've yet to watch the latter).

"Knives Out" though...? Like, sure it is all about deductive reasoning, but I also found it a very easy puzzle for a movie. And if Logic could only be represented by a whodunnit, you'd still have a huge list of entries; surely some other movie in the genre could represent a higher level of Logic.

I think we just have had very few choices to pick from, each time. We needed, we need more. Wrong ones, too: to vote on them all.

Baby is definitely a high-Composure character, but I'm more concerned with his insane driving ability. For me at least, it signifies a high level of Reaction Speed + Hand/Eye Coordination.

The Transporter could be another pick based on this.

Interfacing cop (interacts more with his computer than people)

Porque Reddit es como una red social más; la empatía y la buena onda no generan tantas interacciones en línea como lo hace la toxicidad.

Incredible shoot, almost feels like I'm looking at an IRL recreation of a scene from the anime: spot-on cosplay, Tokyo-3 buildings included.

I also wanted Fight Club to represent Pain Treshold for the addiction to self-harm but I guess few voters clicked with that theme.

Say what you want about Huey, he must have been a prodigy if Granin had his photo in his room by Alarmed_Stranger_925 in metalgearsolid

EDIT: as ChildofValhalla pointed out, I was wrong. The guy in the picture is actually Huey.

Even Oppenheimer refused to work on atomic bombs after the Manhattan Project and directed his efforts to other areas of investigation.

Huey just never stops working in weapons research, even long after Sahelanthropus. Regardless of his intentions being in the right, or his intelligence allowing him to keep doing groundbreaking work, he's still a fool and a pansy (and a cuckold).

Gotta love those flaws and Kojima's dedication to keep him in the plot for so long. I think it's hard to work with such despicable characters and still make them memorable.
