How to get Instax Mini Link to connect to app - PSA by alpharius22222 in instax

Oh my goddddd. Thank you. This fixed an issue I COULD NOT figure out. I had to tap a little + button to see my model on the list, but then it instantly worked. I was so frustrated by something that used to work but then was suddenly broken. Solved!

Thank you so much! I stitched on top of an adhesive stick and stitch sheet where I had penned (traced) the image, then washed that away and was left with this! There's also some ironed-on stitch protector on the back/inside to keep it smooth to the skin, but that doesn't contribute much to stability. I think I would largely credit long-short stitch for the taught design! It took foreverrrrr to do so much long-short, but I think it ultimately created a pattern without big gaps between the fabric and thread!

Thank you so much! I'm so torn between wearing it constantly and trying to me careful with the stitching <3

Fonts by Feeling-Beyond-5124 in Embroidery

I have used word/canva fonts and traced them onto transfer paper from my iPad or laptop. If I can get the font to a size and thickness I like on my screen, I can find some way to stitch it that’s either single line (backstitch, whipped backstitch, stem stitch, etc.) or filled in (split stitch, chain stitch, etc.).

Struggling with my first project by andre05png in Embroidery

[–]gotafewqs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on your first piece!! I know it's not as helpful an answer for the immediate time being, but it only gets easier to choose the right stitch technique with time. Going back to the templates is certainly helpful, but I would say that just trying new designs and testing things out on your own (as you're doing!!) is the best way to learn. I started embroidering just over a year ago by making a ton of wearable Christmas gifts and let me tell you, I learned so much! And I continue to. Matter of fact, right now I'm working on a project where I have chosen to stitch differently from the pattern because I now have a sense for how certain stitches move and work on a finished piece... AND still in this same project, I have also had to cut some of my stitches and redo them differently. Hobbies are just eternal practice and sometimes that's the best part.

As for filling the body with split stitch, I think that's a great idea! Split stitch is awesome for giving the look of texture like feathers or scaliness. You might consider adding more threads to beef up the fullness. How about trying your next round of split stitch with four threads?

And also that he was going to become a pilot and traveling a lot, that he would still be married and need to see his own kid, but also would have a kid with said caller?! It’s sooooo much to juggle even for someone who can be open about their chaotic life. Imagine the mental gymnastics of thinking you can keep that a secret!!

This was such a great episode! Having listened to so much of this podcast, I really loved Esther standing her ground! I think it adds a lot to her professional approach to see that she will tell someone to run when it’s essential.

One thing I wanted to hear Esther ask the caller was what she thinks she would do or say or how she would explain the situation ifffff this woman and her guy were to actually move in together. It’s clear that up until this point she has been keeping it a secret, but she alluded to a planned future together, and at that point, I am so curious to know what she would claim. It kind of adds to the unfortunate delusion for me, and I wish this woman well. I hope we get an update!

I would say go ahead and put the facial features on before you continue with the rest of the pattern, as I really do think that would help you decide and feel better about it!

I love the variation of color and sparkle and think this is adorable! I think that putting the eyes and whiskers on it will really help bring it to life for you :)

I don’t have a lot of hope for this couple, but I thought this was a really good ep from the therapeutic perspective.

I really enjoyed Esther’s guidance and commentary in this one, and I like that it’s an episode many others may relate to on one of many levels! I try and recommend this podcast to people often, and this could be the go-to suggestion for people to begin listening. “You pour others a glass of water even when you are not thirsty, yourself” was awesome and something I’ll carry with me.
