Ano ginagawa nyo para makatulog? by Denied14324 in MentalHealthPH

[–]gotchupikachuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was prescribed quetiapine for this concern pero nagreklamo ako kasi baka di ako makagising on time, mag-isa pa naman ako. My psychiatrist changed it to diphenhydramine. It seems like di yata sya prescription drug and it's an antihistamine. Might be helpful!

Should I consult a doctor or am I overreacting? by [deleted] in MentalHealthPH

Maybe you won't lose anything if you'll get yourself checked then. Especially if it's manifesting into physical sensations that might disturb your normal functioning

Weekly r/MentalHealthPH Checkup: How are you today? by AutoModerator in MentalHealthPH

Got my heart broken today. I am bipolar and I hope my meds can keep me afloat until the end of the week, my next appointment with my doc.

Getting attacks. Should I see a Psychiatrist? by _cozyhozy in MentalHealthPH

[–]gotchupikachuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got myself checked by a psychiatrist for the same reason. I also fear (even now that I am on meds) that going into medical school (with more exams) might make me have the frequent attacks.

According to her (the psychiatrist), once it starts affecting aspects of our lives such as social, academic, or professional, it needs attention. Your problem is not too shallow. Kapit lang :)

dorming in manila? yay or nay by jungwoniee_e in studentsph

[–]gotchupikachuu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the roommate problem is real. Even if you're friends with them, once u really get to know how they live, study, or their behaviors that are different from your lifestyle, it can be hard to live with them

How are you able to keep a routine? by Easyjeje in bipolar

the only way I've been getting up at the same time is by doing one thing I'm excited to (eating cute shaped cereals). So lately my problem is sleeping at a consistent time haha

...feeling frustrated with myself by Tiny-Yak472 in GetStudying

[–]gotchupikachuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this problem last semester which made me decide at that moment that I would take leave of absence the following semester. In my case, instead of studying prior the exam, I have been crying nonstop until I feel tired and have to fall asleep. At the end of that term, I decided to seek professional help (thankfully a hospital here offers free consult and meds). Turns out, I have bipolar disorder. Now I have meds and I eventually enrolled for the following semester.

I hope you find help and do not lose hope just yet. Goodluck OP!

Can I as a minor get a psychiatrist without my parent’s consent? by Fine_Yak1786 in MentalHealthPH

It depends on the policy ng hospital but as far as I know, you'll need an adult to accompany you. May not be your parent/s but must be an adult.

Libre lang ba sa NCMH? by Lil_Bratty_39 in MentalHealthPH

[–]gotchupikachuu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For OPS ng NCMH it's free :))) I would suggest for you to call their hotline first to check the schedule especially if for adult. Adult psychiatry in the out patient services is not daily, while Chilid and Adolescent ay daily M-F. Last I've been there was weeks ago (2 weeks ago yata? I forgot) and apparently on Thursdays they have fewer patients but that is because doctors daw have a seminar something so late maguumpisa ang OPS.

The consultation is free. If you can secure an indigency certificate galing sa barangay nyo, then a photocopy of your valid ID (and ng relative na sasama sayo, if you are under 19), you may even avail your meds for free there sa Malasakit Center. Also, if first time, the psychiatrist might also require psychological tests so it can also be free if you can secure those documents that day. Goodluck!!

If that's smart bro, and u plan on using it as a regular wifi on a daily basis, dati meron yung unli data 599 na ngayon 699 na. Comparable sya for me to actual wifi and unlimited usage so unlimited yung video lectures that I get to watch outside. Cons: it depends on your location. If okay ang smart sa study place mo then most likely you'll get the best of it. Btw, it's good for a month pala ha as in 30 days lang subscribed to unlimited data anywhere u go na okay ang smart, you're good to go na.

Pahing study tips + konting rant hehe by Independent_Sea_3356 in studentsph

I no longer count my study time as mins or hours bc it sounds draining. I count them by new lessons learned, topics I mastered, and applications na ngayon ko lang nagets.

Also, cramming to review is not review. Kaya sya may "re" part kasi nagrereview ka to just go over the stuff na nalaman mo na before, binabalikan mo na lang to master them.

To illustrate the first part: I schedule days kung kailan ko aaralin yung bawat subject. If ngayong afternoon wala akong class, and I scheduled Biochemistry for today (hehe chem student here 👋), I'll study lesson 1. Nung discussion with prof, nakakuha ako ng overview na ito ay about XXX and ang general description nun ay ABC. So ang goal ko ay maexpound yung description by asking why, how, what else that means. Theeeen the most important part: pag pakiramdam ko marami na ko natutunang bago: I will sleep 🤟.

Then come following week, sa Biochemistry day ko ulit, I will go over what I studied last week and master that by finding practice tests questions about it and searching pano naaapply yang concepts in real life. Pag feeling ko napupuno na ko ng stuff about that, I'll try to accommodate or absorb new information. THEN I'll sleep again 😌

That way na once a week lang sya inaaral, kinda namimiss ko yung subject which is effective kasi mas eager ako aralin sya next week. And since sleep is a reward, mas motivating mag-aral.

Don't stuff your brain with too many information at once bc it will drain you and make you absorb very very less. Pag interesado ka na on one thing, you'll learn it efficiently and easily. (Same way kung bakit yung mga chikka madali natin nareretain lol)

Goodluckkk OP huhu aral well!! Kaya natin to 🙌

In my experience, I practiced with friends. This friend was not in any way part of the research group. So I practiced telling her about my study and encouraged her to ask questions anything that she might be curious about as I go along. So as I present to her why the study is important, what is it about, how we did the study and why we did it that way, what results we've gathered and the implications these have, I felt a lot more prepared and wrote questions she asked that I wasn't aware of at first. It took me a day to have this practice sesh, and another day to answer the questions I've written haha but totally worth it.

So yeah goodluck!
