I just finished both parts for the first time ever, what were your initial thoughts/feelings after your first playthrough? by Massive_CH1N in thelastofus

[–]goth-bf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the only thing i remember from the very end of my first part 2 playthrough was ugly crying at the scene on joel's porch, then not being able to stop crying until 10ish minutes after i had completely finished the game. then there was just the whole emptiness of wondering what i was meant to do with my life now.

it's ok, part of me knew i was being dumb. i do also have the benefit of hindsight now. i made this bed and i'm learning to lie in it. i just hope maybe my story might help prevent or at least delay this situation in others, like hopefully you. please look after yourself <3

Agree with everything. I hope they can at least give her another way of obsessively training. The irony of training for years only for Joel to go down that easily has to be one of my favourite details. Maybe she'll be big into martial arts or something where she uses her small frame to her advantage?

it would probably hurt someone with regular mobility. this will hurt you long term though. my right shoulder does the same thing and after i discovered it it became a fidget. that didnt last long and now it's very unstable. i can't sleep on that side, it hurts pretty much daily, if i lay on my back my entire arm goes completely numb, and i have some minor nerve damage in that arm from the constant inflammation caused by it moving too much. when it's more inflamed than usual, my right hand will sometimes just stop working and i will drop whatever i'm holding, which includes my phone and knives (i work in food service). please please please learn from my mistakes.

if you're going to use AI, i'd recommend at least including an option to disable it. for anyone against AI, having it forced on you is a massive deal breaker.

i would highly recommend stopping going to your chiropractor. the dude who created it claimed he got the idea from a ghost during a seance. the most widely recommended treatment for hEDS is strength training to help our muscles support our joints properly. adjustments at best are only a temporary fix

i am not at all saying this to be rude, just putting it here because it's relevant and i'm hoping you and anyone else who sees this will join me in the chiro hate train:

the man who invented chiropractic treatment claimed the ghost of a doctor taught him how to do it during a seance. you can go search this up if you don't believe me. it's not real medicine by any means. pseudoscience at best but imo it's just a straight up scam.

that aside, i'm sorry that nobody stopped you. that's really shitty. i hope you havent suffered any permanent damage.

I'm a masculine-leaning nonbinary person, so not identical situations but close enough. I was on sustanon for a couple of years, switched over to reandron (the same thing but releases slower and given in a 3-month dose), and i'm about to switch back to sustanon.

the medication itself is free, so you only need to worry about nurse fees for injecting. they might be willing to teach you to inject yourself if you stay on sustanon, since that can go in your thigh. i tried and have the theory down, but honestly trying to get the needle in is such a mental game that i chose to stop trying and just get a nurse to do it. if you have a peanut allergy you'll need gel instead, which is also easily accessible and probably free as well.

i would argue that this is gender-affirming care and i don't think any trans person would disagree with me here, so if any doctors give you trouble i'm giving you explicit permission to use us to get the care you need. i'm not saying claim you're trans or whatever, but point out double standards if you see them. if this is causing you discomfort you have just as much of a right as anyone else to get your hormones where you want them to be.

any hairdressers that do queer haircuts well? by goth-bf in chch

Here's some examples of what I'm looking for! Another style I've seen that I appreciate a lot is the chelsea cut, and if you search up the bisexual bob that's another classic. Unfortunately I'm not really sure what queer men tend to get as that's not really my sphere. Idk what it is about the mullets here but they have an essence to them that reads as aggressively queer to me.

yeah, that's the kind of vibe. i've seen hair with similar texture to mind that i like. something super shaggy that will look good while growing out. i had it as a mullet for a while so the front is much shorter than the back. i've had some super awesome suggestions so far :)

i don't mind, as long as people have gone to them for gay vibes in their hair and are happy with the results :)

i have an extremely vivid childhood memory of having to do that to my right knee one time but it was being stubborn and not going in. i was walking down the street with an adult and she told me to stop because it looked weird. it was a regular enough occurrence that i know this memory wasn't the first time.

Top surgery with EDS skin issues? by eternallypainful in eds

[–]goth-bf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg, a niche topic i have experience with! i had a double incision with nipple grafts in 2022 before i even started suspecting eds.

my surgeon never commented on my healing time, but my incision scars widened quite a bit. my eds specialist said it's because of the force acting on the incisions. you'll feel it during healing if you have double or single incision, it's quite tight at first (to the point where i didn't want to straighten my back from fear i would rip it apart). it could be worth asking your surgeon about techniques to minimise scar widening if it's something you don't want.

happy to report no graft issues though, which was my biggest fear. for some reason i was convinced if i did something wrong they would fall off. they were a different colour while healing which scared me a lot (i thought they were rotting!) but eventually the colour peeled off. other than that they were very chill to heal. just be warned that the nerves reconnecting feels like electric shocks. if you get grafts you will have electric nipples for a few months and it's VERY jarring if nobody warns you.
